WWE NXT Results 4/1 - North American Championship On The Line

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE NXT" on April 1, 2025, coming to you live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Shawn Spears will be putting the North American Championship on the line for the first time on television since dethroning Tony D'Angelo on the March 4 edition of "NXT" as he defends against Ricky Saints. The two men encountered one another last week when Spears crashed a sit-down interview between Saints and "NXT" commentator Vic Joseph. After Spears had told Saints that his attitude was holding him back from asking him to be part of his stable The Culling, Saints didn't hold back in telling Spears that he wanted a shot at his North American Championship.

We are live! Vic Joseph, Booker T, and Corey Graves greet audiences at home as Stephanie Vaquer makes her way down to the ring. Ava is waiting inside the ring.

Stephanie Vaquer and Ava Make An Huge Announcement

Ava says that Vaquer has shown time and time again why she's "La Primera", but after a lot of thought, she and Vaquer have come to the decision that Vaquer will be relinquishing her Women's North American Championship tonight in order for other women in the division to get a fair shot and the title to be frequently defended. Ava reveals that the new titleholder will be determined at "NXT" Stand & Deliver in a Six Woman Ladder Match. Vaquer says she gets that this isn't a popular decision, but she will give up the Women's North American Championship on the condition that she gets to pick who she faces at Stand & Deliver for her NXT Women's Championship. Ava agrees.

Jordynne Grace's music hits and she makes her way out. She pleads her case for challenging Vaquer for the NXT Women's Championship, but Jaida Parker's music cuts her off and says if Grace had minded her own business, she would've won the NXT Women's Championship last week. She tells Vaquer to call her shot, but Grace cuts off Parker and tells her that she already had her opportunity and fumbled it. She says Parker may not understand how titles work since she's never held one before, but the most recent challenger goes to teh back of the line.

Vaquer tells Parker and Grace that they need to work it out, and the two women begin to brawl. Security makes their way down to the ring, but Grace throws one of the guards on top of several others.

Zaria and Sol Ruca then make their way down to the ring. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson follows.

Legend kicks out and levels Zaria with a big boot and continues wearing her down, then lands a forearm on her spine. Zaria cinches in a submission on Legend, but Legend counters into a Bear Hug.

Legend locks in a Torture Rack on Zaria, and the two women exchange strikes before Zaria connects with a German suplex on Legend and follows it up with a Spear. She then lands an F5 for the win.

Trick Williams then makes his way down to the ring.

Trick Williams Meets With Oba Femi

Williams says he called Femi to the ring last week, but he hasn't heard from him since. He says he's still the man in "NXT" even though Femi still holds the NXT Championship, and he's fought to get where he is including losing a brother in Carmelo Hayes. He says the success he has comes at a cost with his peers in the back.

Je'Von Evans' music hits, and he makes his way out. Williams warns Evans against interrupting him and says he gets why he's upset, but what happened is collateral damage as the time has come for the grown-ups to start talking. Evans asks Williams when he knew it was his time, then says this time last year, Williams was in the same spot that he was in. He says Williams became the golden child of "NXT" when he won the NXT Championship, and says the difference between him and Williams is that he doesn't have to break out of everyone's shadow.

Williams says Evans is currently in his shadow and knows nothing about being on the top of "NXT". He says he's one of one, and Evans objects to Williams' statement. He says Williams has no idea who he is, then says he's Hayes rather than his own person. He says that makes sense because everything he's saying is what Hayes told him last year. He says Williams can try watering him down to make himself better, then says he's done something that even Williams hasn't: taking down Femi.

Femi's music hits and he makes his way out. He tells Evans to say what he has to his face and calls him lucky for taking him down. Evans responds by saying he was seconds away from winning the 2024 Men's Iron Survivor Challenge, and Femi tells Evans that all he sees in him is a small boy with big dreams. He says Evans' success will not come at his expense, and calls himself the now of "NXT". Williams invites Evans to leave the ring so he can challenge Femi to a NXT Championship match at Stand & Deliver, and Femi tells Williams that he would still have the title if he did less talking.

Ava's music hits and she makes her way out to make a NXT Championship Triple Threat Match between Femi, Williams, and Evans official at Stand & Deliver. The three men begin to brawl, but Darkstate interrupts them and takes out Femi and Evans. Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James and Saquon Shugars encircle Williams, and James and Griffin toss Williams over to Lennox and Shugars to land a powerbomb on him.

Roxanne Perez then makes her way down to the ring. Kelani Jordan follows.

Roxanne Perez vs. Kelani Jordan in a Qualifier for the Stand & Deliver Women's North American Championship Ladder Match

The bell rings and the two lock up. Jordan shoves Perez, and the pair take turns wearing each other down with submissions. Perez rolls up Jordan, but Jordan kicks out and the two continue taking turns wearing each other down with submission holds.

Jordan lands an arm drag on Perez, then connects with a dropkick and follows it up with a twisting leg drop to her off the middle turnbuckle as Perez is draped across the middle rope. Perez rakes Jordan's eyes while the referee has his back turned, then sends her crashing into the ring post shoulder first. Jordan rolls up Perez twice, but Perez kicks out both times and wrenches back on Jordan's shoulder. Perez connects with a knee on Jordan's midsection, then follows it up with a belly-to-belly suplex and wrenches back on Jordan's arm before sending it bouncing off the mat.

Perez continues wearing down Jordan's arm with a submission hold, but Jordan fires off strikes on Perez and sends her crashing into the mat spine first. She kips up, but Perez sends her crashing into the mat face first and delivers a missile dropkick that sends her crashing out of the ring. She lands a crossbody on Jordan through the middle rope and dumps her back in the ring, but Jordan dropkicks her back to the floor as she stands on the apron and flies over the top to level her. She dumps Perez back inside the ring, then connects with a crossbody and a Sit-Out Facebuster.

Jordan sets up for a split legged moonsault on Perez, but Perez moves out of the way and looks to roll up Jordan. Jordan hands on to the top rope and delivers a DDT to Perez, then follows it up with a split legged moonsault for the win.

Winner: Kelani Jordan

Ricky Saints then makes his way down to the ring. The Culling follows.

Shawn Spears (w/ The Culling) (c) vs. Ricky Saints for the North American Championship

The bell rings and Saints wastes no time. He fires off right hands on Spears on the outside, then sends him crashing into the barricade and connects with a chop. He gets Spears back inside the ring and levels him with a dropkick, then fires off right hands on him in the corner and lands a back body drop on him on the floor outside the ring before delivering a right hand to him off the barricade.

Spears sends Saints crashing into the ring steps and mocks him by hitting his signature pose, then whips him into the corner chest first back inside the ring and rains down right hands on him. Spears then delivers a bodyslam to Saints and ascends to the top rope. Saints intercepts Spears on the ropes and lands a superplex on him.

Saints levels Spears with a pair of clotheslines and an enzuigiri, then looks to follow it up with a Tornado DDT. Spears stops Saints' momentum, but Saints connects with a spinebuster on Spears. Spears rolls out of the ring for a breather, but Saints follows him out there and lands a Tornado DDT on him on the floor.

Saints dumps Spears back inside the ring, but Niko Vance hops up on the apron to distract the referee as Izzi Dame passes the North American Championship to Spears. Spears pins Saints, but Saints kicks out. Spears sets up for the C4, but Saints avoids it and lands the move on Spears himself. He pulls Brooks Jensen into the ring and levels Vance, then clotheslines Jensen out of the ring and spears Vance. He lands a second spear on Spears back in the ring and follows it up with the Roshambo for the win.

Winner (and new): Ricky Saints

After the match, Ethan Page appears out of nowhere and delivers a Twisting Neckbreaker to Saints. He holds up the North American Championship as the show goes off the air.
