WWE SmackDown Results 3/28 - Punk, Reigns & Rollins Sign Contract For WrestleMania Match, Two Titles On The Line

CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins will be making their WWE WrestleMania 41 Triple Threat Match against one another official tonight as they put pen-to-paper for the contract. The three men came face-to-face with one another in the closing moments of last week's edition of "SmackDown" when they exchanged verbal jabs at one another until things escalated into a physical brawl. In the midst of the brawl, each man pointed at the WrestleMania 41 sign making their intentions of the time and place they wanted to square off in the ring known with the match subsequently being made official.
LA Knight will be defending the United States Championship for the first time on television since dethroning Shinsuke Nakamura on the March 7 episode of "SmackDown" as he puts it on the line against Braun Strowman. Strowman defeated Jacob Fatu via disqualification last week after Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa blindsided Strowman with an attack to cost Fatu the match much to his frustration.
Another title will be on the line, as Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly challenge The Street Profits' Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of the WWE Tag Team Championship. Prince and Wilson secured their spot in tonight's match after they emerged victorious over Motor City Machine Guns' Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin and Angelo and Berto of Los Garza.
Additionally, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be making an appearance on tonight's show following a tense verbal confrontation with his WrestleMania 41 opponent John Cena.
We are live! Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore greet audiences at home as Cody Rhodes makes his way down to the ring.
We Hear From Cody Rhodes
Rhodes asks London what they want to talk about, then says they could talk about how he will be defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena at WrestleMania 41.
Randy Orton's music hits, and he makes his way out. He tells Rhodes that it took a lot for him to leave WWE since there was only so far he could really go the first time around, and he went on to change the professional wrestling business. He says Rhodes came back, and while he didn't know what to expect at first, Rhodes is still the same guy that he was back then. Orton recalls facing Seth Rollins in a Hell In A Cell match with a torn pec and still managed to win, then went on to dethrone Roman Reigns as Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 40. He says Rhodes is in control of his legacy, then says he respects Rhodes, loves him, and is proud of him. He says it's time for WrestleMania 41, where he will kick Kevin Owens hard in the head with a Punt as Rhodes beats down John Cena up and down the Las Vegas strip. He says when the smoke clears and the dust settles, he wants a shot at Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship.
Drew McIntyre's music hits and he makes his way out. He says it's wonderful to see a couple of nepo babies in the ring, then says more people talk about his 5 minute World Heavyweight Championship reign than Orton's entire comeback. McIntyre makes it clear that he also wants a shot at Rhodes' title, then says while Orton looks jacked on the outside, his back is hanging by a thread and he will break it if provoked.
Rhodes goes after McIntyre and lands a kick on his midsection, but McIntyre slides out of the ring.
The Street Profits then makes their way out to the ring. Pretty Deadly follows.
The Street Profits (c) vs. Pretty Deadly for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Kit Wilson and Angelo Dawkins begin the action. The bell rings and Dawkins fires off right hands and left hands on Wilson in the corner. Elton Prince tags in and continues wearing down Dawkins before Kit Wilson tags in and follows suit. Dawkins gains the upper hand on Wilson and fires off right hands and left hands on him. Montez Ford then tags in and lands a kick on Wilson in the corner, but Prince tags in and connects with a T-Bone suplex on Ford.
Wilson and Dawkins tag in, and Dawkins lands a Twisting Neckbreaker on Wilson. Prince tags back in, and Dawkins delivers a spinebuster to him. Ford tags in and looks to land a Frog Splash on Prince, but Wilson helps Prince move out of the way. Prince pins Ford, but Ford kicks out and Dawkins makes the blind tag in.
The Profits double team on Prince and Dawkins pins him, but Wilson breaks the fall. Wilson tags in and double teams on Dawkins with Prince, then goes for a pin but Ford breaks the fall. Prince tosses Wilson in order for him to land an assisted Codebreaker on Dawkins, but Dawkins avoids it and sends Wilson crashing over the top rope. Wilson hands on and skins the cat, but Dawkins catches him on his shoulders and tags in Ford. Ford and Dawkins then deliver a Japanese Ocean Cyclone suplex-Blockbuster combination to Wilson for the win.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance then make their way down to the ring. Piper Niven, Alba Fyre, and Chelsea Green follow.
Piper Niven and Alba Fyre (w/ Chelsea Green) vs. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance
Fyre and Chance begin the action. The bell rings and Fyre gets Chance up on her shoulders. Carter tags in and double teams on Fyre with Chance.
Back from the break, Chance looks to land a Codebreaker on Niven. Niven intercepts it, but Carter delivers a Fallaway Slam to her and lands the Keg Stand with Chance. She goes for a pin, but Fyre breaks the fall. Carter flies off the top to level Fyre on the outside, then tags in. Green hops up on the apron as Carter holds Chance in place to fly off the ropes. Chance hops off the apron to level Green, opening the door for Niven to deliver a Michinoku Driver to Carter for the win.
Winners: Piper Niven and Alba Fyre
Vega levels Niven and Fyre, but Green sets up for the Unprettier on her. Ega fires off right hands on her and sets up for Code Red, but Fyre levels her with a superkick and Niven follows it up with a senton.
Braun Strowman then makes his way out to the ring. LA Knight follows.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Strowman delivers a Hip Toss to Knight, then follows it up with a splash in the corner. Knight lands a tope suicida on Strowman, but Strowman runs over Knight with a boot.
Back from the break, Knight flies off the middle rope to level Strowman with a Famouser. He follows it up with a back suplex, but Strowman clotheslines Knight out of the ring. Jacob Fatu appears out of nowhere and attacks Knight, causing the disqualification.
Winner (and still): LA Knight (double disqualification due to outside interference)
Fatu sends Strowman crashing into the announce desk spine first, then dumps him in the ring and fires off headbutts on him. Knight sets up for BFT on him, but Fatu avoids it and delivers a Samoan Drop. He follows it up with a pair of moonsaults to Strowman.
Back from the break, we head to a tense confrontation between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa as Tama Tonga stands by. Sikoa questions why Fatu interfered in the United States Championship match, but Fatu stands his ground as he voices his frustration about what Sikoa and Tama did last week in his Number One Contenders Match against Strowman. We then head over to a video from Naomi, who sends direct messages to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. She then adds that she's she's done being undervalued and underappreciated.
Back at ringside, Michin and B-Fab then make their way out to the ring, but Naomi attacks them from behind and delivers a Facebuster to Michin before raining down right hands on her and sends B-Fab crashing into the barricade shoulder first. Jade Cargill runs down to the ring and heads straight for Naomi, but Naomi retreats through the crowd and Cargill helps B-Fab to the back with a couple of officials. Charlotte Flair then makes her way down to the ring.
Charlotte Flair vs. Michin (w/ B-Fab)
The bell rings and Flair runs over Michin with a boot. She goes for a pin, but Michin kicks out.
Back from the break, Flair and Michin exchange strikes with one another. Michin connects with a Tornado DDT on Flair, but Flair responds with a German suplex and a kick to Michin through the middle rope. Michin levels Flair with a roundhouse kick to her head and looks to land a cannonball on her in the corner. Flair avoids it and levels Michin with a boot to her head, but Michin lands a sit-out powerbomb on Flair and goes for a pin. Flair kicks out.
Michin rocks Flair with a kick, but Flair fires off chops on Michin. Michin delivers a back suplex to Flair and follows it up with a cannonball, then sets up for Eat Defeat. Flair avoids it, then sends Michin's knee bouncing off the mat and cinches in the Figure Eight Leg Lock. Michin taps out.
Winner: Charlotte Flair
Randy Orton then makes his way out to the ring. Drew McIntyre follows.
Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton
The bell rings and the two lock up. McIntyre runs over Orton with a shoulder tackle, then sends Orton crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. Orton trips McIntyre and rains down right hands on him, then sends McIntyre crashing into the ring post shoulder first. McIntyre sends Orton's face bouncing off the announce desk, then looks to send him crashing through it. Orton escapes and sends McIntyre crashing on top of it instead.
Orton connects with an uppercut on McIntyre and sends him crashing on top of the announce desk once again. He sends him crashing into the ring post face first, then sends him crashing into the barricade with a reverse Front Facelock Driver. He dumps Orton back in the ring, then continues wearing him down. Orton rakes McIntyre's eyes, but McIntyre wears down Orton with a submission hold.
McIntyre fires off chops on Orton, but Orton levels McIntyre with a pair of clotheslines and a scoop powerslam. He follows it up with a hanging DDT and a Claymore Kick for the win.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
After the match, Kevin Owens appears out of nowhere and attacks Orton. He looks to send Orton crashing through the announce desk, but Orton manages to avoid it and chases Owens away from ringside.
Jimmy Uso then makes his way out to the ring. The Miz follows.

The bell rings and Jimmy fires off chops on Miz. He levels him with a clothesline, then clotheslines him out of the ring.
Back from the break, Jimmy lands a Samoan Drop on Miz. Miz levels Jimmy with a clothesline, but Jimmy rolls up Miz. Miz reverses the fall, but Jimmy kicks out and Miz connects with a DDT on him. He follows it up with the Miz Kicks, but Jimmy responds with the Uso Splash for the win.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
We then head backstage, where Drew McIntyre runs into Lewis Capaldi backstage. Damian Priest surprises him on the other side of a door and blindsides him with an attack, then sends him crashing through the windshield of a car with a South of Heaven.
Back from the break, Nick Aldis is standing in the ring.
CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins Sign The Contract For Their WrestleMania 41 Match
Aldis introduces Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, pointing out the security guards around the ring as the pair make their way down to the ring. Heyman hands a microphone to Reigns, and Reigns demands that London acknowledge him. Heyman moves Reigns' chair to the head of the table for the contract signing, then says the way London sings to their "Tribal Chief" is beautiful. He says he came to London to be acknowledged and sign the contract for the WrestleMania 41 Triple Threat Match. Reigns signs the contract and says both those boxes have been checked.
Rollins' music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring. He says London has some singing voices after hearing the crowd sing his song, then says 12 years ago, he and Reigns landed on the roof of the O2 Arena in a helicopter and put The Undertaker through the announce desk. He says a lot has happened since then, with a little bit of love and a whole lot of hate between them. He says he and Reigns ultimately accomplished their mission as part of The Shield, but Reigns questions why Rollins keeps saying "we" and "their mission". He says him and Rollins died a long time ago, and he made WWE the place it is today by taking it to another level. He asks Rollins what he's done, and Rollins says Reigns' selfish mindset keeps forcing him to have to screw him. He says he hasn't realized the biggest danger is right in front of them with CM Punk, and instead of finishing him once and for all in the 2024 Men's WarGames match, he teamed with him instead and he must now clean up Reigns' mess. He then signs the contract.
Punk's music hits, and he makes his way out. He says he's come to chew bubblegum and sign a contract, then says he's all out of bubblegum. He signs the contract, then tells Punk to go to clause five of page four of the contract. Heyman tells Punk that what he's looking for is in there, and says Punk is closing the show at WrestleMania 41 in the main event. Punk begins crying, but Rollins becomes enraged and demands that Punk stop crying because he doesn't deserve it. Punk thanks the fans, but Reigns demands that Punk thanks him. Punk does so, but says that him and Heyman getting that isn't the favor that he's owed. He heads to the back as the show goes off the air.
