WWE SmackDown Results 11/22 - Stratton & LeRae Face Bayley & Naomi, Women's US Title Tournament Continues

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE SmackDown" on November 22, 2024, coming to you live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah!

The next competitor to advance in the tournament to crown the first ever Women's United States Championship will be determined tonight, as Chelsea Green collides with a returning Blair Davenport and one half of the reigning Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat Match. Bayley advanced in the tournament during last week's edition of "SmackDown" when she defeated Candice LeRae and B-Fab in another Triple Threat Match.

Speaking of Bayley and LeRae, they will be in action as the former teams with longtime friend Naomi and the latter joins forces with Women's Money In The Bank briefcase holder Tiffany Stratton. This won't be the last time that the four women will be facing each other in the ring, as Bayley and Naomi along with the aforementioned Belair, the other half of the Women's Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill, and Rhea Ripley will be taking on LeRae, Stratton, Women's Champion Nia Jax, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez in the Women's WarGames Match at WWE Survivior Series: WarGames on November 30.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will be meeting with former friend turned bitter rival Kevin Owens tonight. Rhodes made it clear to "SmackDown" General Manager Nick Aldis last week that he would stop at nothing until he got his hands on Kevin Owens after he attacked Randy Orton despite Aldis' objections for him not to escalate things further.

Coming off a successful defense against Berto last week, LA Knight will be putting the United States Championship on the line once again tonight as he goes head-to-head with Berto's Legado Del Fantasma stablemate Santos Escobar. Knight found himself involved in a tense verbal exchange with Escobar in the moments before Berto challenged him for his title.

We are live! The show kicks off with a video recapping the brawl between The Bloodline, Bronson Reed, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos last week.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves then greet audiences at home as The Bloodline and Reed make their way out to the ring.

We Hear From The Bloodline

Solo Sikoa demands that Salt Lake City acknowledges him, then says he, the rest of The Bloodline, and Reed are ready to dominate in the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series: WarGames. He says unlike them, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos aren't ready for WarGames, then demands that Reigns meet him in the ring by the end of the night and agree to his Terms of Surrender.

Bianca Belair then makes her way down to the ring. Blair Davenport and Chelsea Green follow.

She goes for a pin, but Davenport breaks the fall. Davenport sends Green crashing out of the ring with a forearm, and Belair follows it up with a crossbody to her over the top.

Back from the break, Green lands a kick on Belair. Davenport catches her with a back elbow and a double stomp to her spine off the middle rope, but Belair sends her crashing into the mat and looks to connect with a springboard moonsault. Green then dropkicks Belair and lands on top of Davenport, pinning her in the process. Davenport kicks out.

Davenport rocks Green with a right hand and ascends up the ropes, but Green intercepts her with a kick and connects with a superplex on her. Belair lands a 450 Splash on Davenport and pins her, but Green dumps Belair out of the ring and pins Davenport herself. Belair drags Green out of the ring and sends her crashing into the barricade. She pins Davenport, but Davenport kicks out.

We see Jade Cargill laying on top of a car after being attacked on the Titan Tron, and Belair runs to the back to check on Cargill. Davenport then pins Green, but Green kicks out. Davenport then looks to send Green crashing into the mat, but Green counters with the Unprettier for the win.

Back from the break, we see Belair run outside the arena and get in the ambulance to accompany Cargill to the hospital as Nick Aldis, Bayley, and Naomi stand by.

Back at ringside, LA Knight makes his way out. Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez follow.

LA Knight (c) vs. Santos Escobar (w/ Elektra Lopez) for the United States Championship

Before the bell rings a message from Shinsuke Nakamura plays, putting Knight on notice. Escobar takes advantage and fires off stomps on Knight in the corner, and the bell sounds. Knight levels Escobar, but Escobar sends him crashing onto the apron and sends him onto the floor with a kick. He follows it up with a crossbody over the top.

He levels him with a clothesline, then whips him into the corner and connects with a neckbreaker. He goes for a pin, but Escobar kicks out.

Escobar sits Knight on the top rope, but Knight sends him crashing into the mat with a headbutt and looks to fly. He becomes distracted by Nakamura standing on top of the entrance ramp, opening the door for Escobar to land a hurricanrana on him off the ropes and follow it up with a Frog Splash off the top. Escobar sets up for the Phantom Driver, but Knight escapes and delivers BFT for the win.

Winner (and still): LA Knight

After the match, Nakamura fires off a few stomps on Knight and sends him crashing into the ring post three times shoulder first. He then delivers a Kinshasa to the back of his neck.

Back from the break, we see Nick Aldis ask Nia Jax if she knows what happened to Jade Cargill. Jax says she knows nothing and was helping Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae prepare for their match at the time. Aldis then stops Cody Rhodes and says he doesn't think Kevin Owens is in the arena. Rhodes says Owens wouldn't miss an in-ring confrontation and storms down to the ring.

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens Meet One Another

Rhodes wastes no time and calls Owens out to the ring. Owens appears in the crowd and says since you can't deny Rhodes' request, he's here. He says he's dressed to the nines for Rhodes while Rhodes couldn't even put on a suit. Rhodes demands that Owens get in the ring, but Owens tells Rhodes that he doesn't get what he wants because he wants it. He says what happened to Randy Orton was his fault, and Rhodes gets fired up as Owens storms to ringside through the crowd as officials try holding him back. He says he fought The Bloodline for four years and they tried to end his career. He clarifies that Roman Reigns tried ending his career, and says he stood by Rhodes to fight with him against The Bloodline. He says while he was loyal to Rhodes, Rhodes decided to join forces with Reigns. He vents his frustrations with such especially because Reigns ended his career.

Rhodes says Owens always has to be the victim and he's always being held down, but no one holds Owens down more than himself. He says he self sabotages and wants to be the face of WWE, then recalls what happened in their match at WWE Bash In Berlin. He says Orton was Owens' friend and didn't deserve what he did to him, then says he'll beat him down whether it's in Salt Lake City, Vancouver, or at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, the ball is in Owens' court.

Owens says Rhodes will get his match when he decides, but when they face each other in the ring, he's doing exactly what Rhodes asked him to do. He tells Rhodes that he hates him and looks to leave, but Rhodes stops him and says he doesn't think Owens hates him. He says he thinks Owens hates himself, and there's not a single line he won't cross when they eventually meet in the ring.

We then head backstage and see Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos try and figure out what to do about the fifth member of their WarGames team.

Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos make their way down to the ring. The Bloodline is already waiting inside.

Will Roman Reigns Agree To Solo Sikoa's Terms Of Surrender For The Men's WarGames Match?

Sikoa says he never stopped loving Reigns, The Usos, or Zayn. He says if they join his Bloodline, they can all run WWE for decades to come. He points out their lack of a fifth man for WarGames and a "Wise Man", then pleads with them to join his team unless they want to die where they stand.

Paul Heyman's voice interrupts them and he introduces himself, then says he was put through a table a handful of months ago. He says his math may be a little off, but WarGames can't be done four against five. He says it won't be four against five, then says it will be five against five and introduces the fifth man of Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos WarGames' team: CM Punk!

Punk, Reigns, The Usos, and Zayn brawl with The Bloodline and Bronson Reed. The five men take down Reed and The Bloodline, leaving a stunned Reigns staring down Punk in the ring as Heyman stands on the ring apron. The two continue staring each other down as Zayn and The Usos join them in the ring and the show goes off the air.
