WWE NXT Results 10/29 - Heritage Cup On The Line, Nathan Frazer And Axiom Defend The NXT Tag Team Title
Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE NXT" on October 29, 2024, coming to you live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!
Charlie Dempsey of No Quarter Catch Crew will be putting the NXT Heritage Cup on the line on television for the first time since retaining against Je'Von Evans on the September 10 episode of "NXT" as he defends against Lexis King. Although King was himself unable to find himself someone to be in his corner for tonight's match, his search came to an end at "NXT" Halloween Havoc when William Regal approached him and offered to be at ringside with him.
As tensions between them continue to be on the rise, Nathan Frazer and Axiom will have to find a way to work together as a cohesive unit as they defend the NXT Tag Team Championship against the aforementioned Evans and Cedric Alexander. Frazer and Axiom's last defense came on the October 8 edition of "NXT" when they retained against A-Town Down Under while Evans and Alexander have become well acquainted with one another over the course of the past few weeks.
Zaria will be competing in her first ever match in a WWE ring tonight against an opponent who has yet to be announced. Zaria made two separate appearances at Sunday's Premium Live Event, with one being to stare down Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Roxanne Perez, and Cora Jade following their tag team match and the other being to blindside Fatal Influence with an attack after Fallon Henley dethroned Kelani Jordan as Women's North American Champion in a Gauntlet Match.
We are live! Vic Joseph and Booker T greet audiences at home as Tatum Paxley makes her way out to the ring bringing a giant casket with her. Wendy Choo follows, bringing a head along with her.
Tatum Paxley vs Wendy Choo in a Casket Match
The bell rings and Paxley connects with a dropkick on Choo. Choo responds with a clothesline, but Paxley kips up and lands an enzuigiri. She dumps Choo onto the apron and looks to land a German suplex on her into the casket, but Choo escapes and delivers a kick to Paxley on the outside. She looks to hit her with a garbage can, but Paxley takes it from her and places it over her head. She grabs a broom from under the ring and hits Choo with it repeatedly, then dumps her back in the ring along with the garbage can and follows her back inside.
Paxley sets up the garbage can in the corner, then delivers a crossbody to Choo in the opposite corner and gets her up on her shoulders. She then sends her crashing into the mat and charges at her looking to send her crashing into the trash can, but Choo sees her coming and Paxley is sent crashing into the garbage can. Choo then places Paxley in the garbage can as she hangs off the top rope by her knees, then lands a dropkick on her.
Back from the break, Choo looks to send Paxley cashing through a dollhouse set up in the corner. Paxley stops her own momentum and looks to send Choo crashing through it instead, but Choo manages to land a hip toss on her through the dollhouse. She then closes the casket, but her pillow blocks it from fully being closed. Paxley escapes using the pillow, but Choo hits her with it and opens it up to reveal several pieces of Lego. She then sends Paxley crashing on top of them and dumps her into the casket, then looks to close the casket.
Paxley prevents Choo from doing so, but Choo flies off the apron with a senton and locks them both inside. Both Paxley and Choo both rise from the casket, but Paxley sprays a fire extinguisher on Choo's face and sends her crashing through the bed she had brought down to the ring. She then gets Choo in the casket and closes it for the win.
Winner: Tatum Paxley
Trick Williams then makes his way down to the ring.
Trick Williams Has A Proposal For Bubba Ray Dudley
Williams says he walked through the Devil's Playground to retain the NXT Championship against Ethan Page. He admits to being sore, but addresses Ridge Holland attacking him after his defense and calls Bubba Ray Dudley to the ring.
Bubba Ray makes his way out and Williams thanks him for his help at Halloween Havoc. Bubba Ray tells Williams that a thanks isn't necessary, and says the reason he appeared was due to Holland's disrespect. He says he watched Williams in his Devil's Playground Match and hear the people cheer for him, but as he was getting beat down by Holland, he was looking at the entryway for someone to help Williams. He tells Williams he needs to have eyes in the back of his head, and Williams says while he hears what Bubba Ray is saying, he wants revenge on Ethan Page and Holland. He proposes teaming with Bubba Ray to take on Page and Holland next week at the 2300 Arena, and after some consideration, Bubba Ray declines to take the spot of someone else in the "NXT" locker room.

A Huge Brawl Breaks Out In The Women's Division

Fallon Henley tells Zaria that she stole her moment when she became new Women's North American Champion at Halloween Havoc, but Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade make their way down the ramp. The two women alongside Fatal Influence surround the ring, but Kelani Jordan, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer run down to even the odds. Ethan Page then makes his way down to the ring.
Bubba Ray Dudley Comes Face-To-Face With Ridge Holland And Ethan Page
Page says he's not done with the NXT Championship, but before he can continue, Ridge Holland makes his way out and says Page has had plenty of chances at the NXT Championship. He says Trick Williams survived Halloween Havoc, but he won't be holding the NXT Championship for much longer and says Bubba Ray Dudley made the right decision by choosing not to team with Williams.
Bubba Ray's music hits and he makes his way out. He says it's time he had a talk with Holland and says in the past 48 hours, he went from not knowing much about Holland to knowing a lot about Holland. He says he knows that Holland is a good rugby player, but his respect ends there because he disrespected him. He says the "NXT" Universe will have to see a lot more from Holland if he ever wants another shot at the NXT Championship, but Holland says no one cares what Bubba Ray thinks anymore now that he's a radio host that sits behind a microphone. He calls Bubba Ray a nostalgia act and tells him to revel in his pride. He says Dave LaGreca will have to soon be looking for a new host because he'll be in the hospital.
Holland and Page then attack Bubba Ray, but Williams' music hits and he runs down to the ring to even the odds. Bubba Ray then grabs a mic and agrees to be Trick Williams' tag team partner next week to take on Holland and Page.
