WWE Raw Results 10/21 - Intercontinental Title On The Line, First Round World Tag Team Title Tournament Matches

As Jimmy Uso looks to continue his efforts to recruit him in helping himself and Roman Reigns take down Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline, Jey Uso will be putting the Intercontinental Championship on the line against former titleholder Bron Breakker. Not only did Jey dethrone Breakker as Intercontinental Champion on the September 23 edition of "Raw", but the two encountered one another last week when Jey provided a helping hand to New Day's Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston when Breakker launched a post match attack on the duo following his win over Kingston.
The WWE World Tag Team Tournament to determine Finn Balor and JD McDonagh's new Number One Contenders will kick off tonight as American Made's Brutus Creed and Julius Creed square off with Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee of LWO while the aforementioned New Day collide with Rezar and Akam of Authors of Pain in a pair of first round matches. Balor and McDonagh's last defense came on the September 16 episode of "Raw" when they successfully defended against Kingston and Woods.
Archrivals Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Bronson Reed will both be appearing on tonight's show as tensions between the two of them continue to mount. Rollins sent a message to Reed from the ring two weeks ago after being sidelined by him for a handful of months, telling him that he got his attention and was willing to take him on in a match at any time and place he wanted.
We are live! Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore greet audiences at home as we see several superstars arrive at the Wells Fargo Center including Bronson Reed. Seth "Freakin" Rollins blindsides him from behind and storms down to the ring.
Seth Rollins Calls Out Bronson Reed
Rollins says if Reed wants to be famous, he'll make him famous. He demands that he come out to the ring, but Adam Pearce and several officials instead appear trying to stop Rollins. Reed then appears and pushes his way through security, then delivers a Samoan Drop to Rollins and ascends to the top. Rollins rolls out of the ring before Reed can land a Tsunami on him, then flies off the apron with a shoulder tackle and clears the announce desk. He lays Rollins on it, but a security guard jumps him. Reed sends him crashing into all the other guards, then looks to land a Tsunami on Rollins. Rollins moves out of the way, and Reed is sent crashing through the announce desk.
New Day then makes their way down to the ring. The Final Testament follows.
Authors of Pain (w/ The Final Testament) vs. New Day in a First Round Match For The WWE World Tag Team Championship Tournament
Akam and Kofi Kingston begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Xavier Woods tags in and Kingston delivers a splash to Akam using the top rope. Woods follows it up with an elbow drop and goes for a pin, but Akam kicks out. Kingston tags in and delivers a double stomp to Akam's arm as Woods holds him in place, then tags Woods back in. Woods connects with a double ax handle on Akam as Kingston holds him in place, but Akam levels Woods as Miz appears at ringside to watch the action.
Back from the break, Rezar has a Bear Hug cinched in Woods. Woods escapes and tags in Kingston, who lands a dropkick on Rezar and sends Akam crashing off the apron. Woods lands a tope suicida to level him on the outside before Kingston hits the Boom Drop on Rezar and sets up for Trouble In Paradise. Rezar catches him and connects with a Fallaway Slam as R-Truth attacks Miz on the outside and rains down right hands on him. He delivers a boot to Karrion Kross' face, opening the door for Kingston to roll up Rezar for the win.
Winners: New Day
After the match, Truth celebrates Kingston and Woods' win with them. The Final Testament and Miz blindside Truth with an attack, and while Kingston looks to help Truth, Woods holds him back in the entrance ramp and tells him not to get invovled. The lights then go out, and when they come back on, The Wyatt Sicks (with the exception of Uncle Howdy) surround the ring and beats down Final Testament to provide a helping hand to Truth. Joe Gacy and Erick Rowan then powerbomb Dexter Lumis onto Authors of Pain and Karrion Kross and brawl through the crowd as Miz watches from the ring. Uncle Howdy sneaks up behind Miz, but Paul Ellering pushes him out of the ring. Uncle Howdy then locks in the Mandible Claw on Ellering and puts him to sleep.
Back from the break, we see Bronson Reed approach Adam Pearce as he talks to Jackie Redmond backstage. Seth "Freakin" Rollins then blindsides him with an attack.
Back at ringside, Damage CTRL make their way out. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez follow, we see Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson in the crowd to watch the action.
Damage CTRL vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
Morgan and IYO SKY begin the action. The bell rings and Morgan tags out to Rodriguez. SKY locks Rodriguez in a Sleeper, but Rodriguez fights her off. Kairi Sane makes the blind tag in and connects with a hurricanrana on Rodriguez before she tags SKY back in. SKY and Sane look to land a double suplex on Rodriguez, but Rodriguez blocks them and looks to land a double elbow drop on them. Sane and SKY roll out of the way.
Back from the break, Rodriguez has Sane locked in a submission over one of her shoulders. Sane escapes and looks to tag in SKY, but Rodriguez blocks her. SKY manages to tag in Sane as Rodriguez tags out to Morgan. SKY connects with a dropkick on Morgan, then lands a second one off the top rope and kips up. She hits a meteora on Morgan in the corner and goes for a pin, but Morgan kicks out.
SKY lands a bodyslam on Morgan, then tags in Sane. Sane immediately tags out to SKY, then lands an elbow drop on Morgan with some assistance from SKY. SKY then goes for a pin, but Rodriguez breaks the fall and sends Sane crashing into the mat face first. She charges at her in the corner, but Sane moves out of the way and Rodriguez is sent crashing into the ring post shoulder first.
Morgan delivers a step-up knee to SKY in the corner, then looks to fly off the middle rope. SKY intercepts her with a strike, then lands a dropkick off the apron and pulls Jackson into the ringside area. Legend clocks her with a strike causing the disqualification, but Sane goes after her and dumps her in the ring with SKY.
Winners: N/A (disqualification due to outside interference)
After the match, Jackson and Legend beat down Damage CTRL. Legend delivers a Lash Extension to SKY, but Morgan and Rodriguez stare them down. Rhea Ripley's music then hits, and she makes her way out to ringside. She cinches in the Prism Trap on Morgan and sets up for Riptide, but Dominik Mysterio saves Morgan. Ripley pulls Dominik in the ring and locks in the Prism Trap on him, but Rodriguez and Morgan pull him out of the ring to save him.
We then head backstage and see Seth "Freakin" Rollins approach Adam Pearce backstage. Bronson Reed blindsides him, but security pulls them apart and a frustrated Pearce makes a match between them at WWE Crown Jewel official.
LWO then makes their way out to the ring. American Made follows, and we see Trick Williams watching the action from the crowd.
American Made (w/ Chad Gable & Ivy Nile) vs. LWO (w/ Zelina Vega) in a First Round Match For The WWE World Tag Team Championship Tournament
Julius Creed and Dragon Lee begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Rey Mysterio tags in and Julius gets him in a delayed vertical suplex position. He sends him crashing into the mat, then tags in Brutus Creed. Julius sends Brutus crashing into Rey, then connects with the Brutus Smash on him and tags Julius back in. Julius gets Rey in an Electric Chair position, but Rey fights his way out and holds the middle rope open for Lee to fly and level The Creed Brothers on the outside.
Back from the break, Rey lands a hurricanrana on Brutus and delivers an enzuigiri to him from the apron. He follows it up with a senton from the top rope, then goes for a pin but Brutus kicks out. Lee dumps Brutus out of the ring and ascends to the top, but Julius intercepts him. Lee drapes him from the top rope, then delivers a double stomps to him.
Rey dropkicks Julius into the ropes and looks to dial it up for a 619. Gable hops up on the apron and captures his attention, but Vega gets in their faces and delivers a tijeras to Nile. This opens the door for Rey to deliver a hurricanrana to Julius into the ropes and dial it up for a 619. Lee then tags in and delivers a Frog Splash to Julius for the win.
Winners: LWO
Bron Breakker then makes his way out to the ring. Jey Uso follows.

The bell rings and the two men stare each other down. They then fire off right hands on one another, but Jey connects with an open palm strike on Breakker and clotheslines him out of the ring.
Back from the break, Breakker mocks Jey and sends him crashing into the ring post spine first. He sends head bouncing off the ring apron, then dumps him back in the ring and whips him into the corner. He connects with a standing Shooting Star Press on Jey, but Jey responds with an enzuigiri from the apron and looks to fly off the ropes. Breakker intercepts him with a Frankenstiener and pins Jey, but Jey kicks out.
Back from another break, Jey notices Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu emerge from the crowd. Sikoa holds up one of Jey's Yeet shirts and shows off the tickets he bought for himself and Fatu. Jey asks Sikoa what he's doing, and Sikoa says he's trying to help him retain the Intercontinental Championship. Breakker looks to blindside Jey from behind, but Jey sees him coming.
Jey sends Breakker crashing into the ring post head first as Tanga Loa appears behind Jey to encourage him. Jey lands a superkick on him and takes down Tama Tonga with another one when he looks to fly off the barricade to level him. Breakker look to blindside Jey with a spear, but Sikoa pushes Jey out of the way and takes the spear for him.
Breakker lands a jumping knee on Jey and dumps him back in the ring, but Fatu stares down Breakker. Jey levels them both with a tope suicida, then ascends to the top and looks to land an Uso Splash. Breakker gets his knees up and runs the ropes. He looks to land the Super Spear, but Jey connects with a pair of superkicks and a spear. He ascends to the top and lands an Uso Splash on Breakker, then goes for a pin but Breakker kicks out.
Adam Pearce and other officials run down to the ring to escort Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa to the back. Jey looks to land a spear on Jey, but Fatu clocks him and delivers a Samoan Drop to him on top of the announce desk. Breakker then dumps Jey back in the ring and runs the ropes before delivering the Super Spear for the win.
