AEW Dynamite Results 9/4 - Two Titles On The Line, Ospreay & The Conglomeration Vs. Castagnoli, Yuta & PAC

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "AEW Dynamite" on September 4, 2024, coming to you live from the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!

Mariah May will be putting her AEW Women's World Championship on the line for the first time since dethroning Toni Storm at AEW All In on August 25 as she defends against Nyla Rose. May made the decision to delay her championship commemoration after it was originally slated to take place last week. Meanwhile, Rose has been on a two match winning streak on "AEW Rampage", defeating the likes of Erica Leigh and Aminah Belmont on the August 16 and 30 editions of the show respectively.

Another title will be up for grabs tonight, as The Don Callis Family's Kyle Fletcher challenges Kazuchika Okada of The Elite for the AEW Continental Championship. Not only did Okada's last title defense on the August 21 edition of "Dynamite" against one third of the reigning AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli end with Okada retaining as the result of a time limit draw, but Fletcher will surely be extra motivated to dethrone Okada after coming up short against Ricochet last Wednesday.

Speaking of Castagnoli, he will be joining forces with PAC and his Blackpool Combat Club stablemate Wheeler Yuta to square off with Will Ospreay and The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly. Ospreay confronted Ricochet after his aforementioned defeat last week as a means of letting him know that there was an AEW International Championship in the future, but PAC surprised him with a reverse hurricanrana to put him on notice.

We are live! Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as Daniel Garcia makes his way down to the ring.

Daniel Garcia and MJF Come Face-To-Face One Last Time Before All Out

Garcia says he's not waiting for MJF at All Out, and he wants his hands on him tonight. MJF then responds to Garcia through the crowd surrounded by security with a glass of wine in hand as a pre-match measure to celebrate his win over Garcia on Saturday. He reminds Garcia of what happened between them at AEW Blood & Guts.

Garcia questions if anyone really believes what MJF is saying, then says that's fitting because everything about MJF is fake. He says the thing that makes MJF most sick to him is his fake love to AEW, then says he doesn't love AEW. He says MJF can put as many tattoos on his legs, but no one will believe that it comes from a genuine place. He says he meant what he said last week about ruining MJF's life, then says he wants both MJF and the people around to suffer. He says he wants MJF to have a wife and a kid, but every time he picks up his kid, he'll think about him with the feeling that runs through his body. He says MJF's kid will eventually ask him if he was a wrestler, and he'll have to tell them that he was until he ruined his career.

MJF mockingly applauds Garcia and tells him that he still has lots to learn, then says he was trying to help Garcia when he betrayed him by showing him that you can't trust anyone. He says he used to be a fan favorite until fans turned on him, then tells Garcia that he doesn't want their love or affection. He says the more a wrestler rises in the business, the more fans want to see them fall. He says he'll do him a favor on Saturday by ensuring his fans and family can't hurt him like they did with him by putting him in a wheelchair. He says the only person Garcia can really trust is his mother, and says she'll take care of Garcia after what he does to him.

Garcia slides out of the ring and makes his way through the crowd to get to MJF. While he takes down a couple security guards, a couple more overpower him. Garcia takes them both down, sending one of them crashing into the barricade, then charges up the stairs at MJF in the crowd. When he reaches MJF, MJF clocks him with a right hand and sits next to him as Garcia begins to bleed. He thanks Garcia for waking something in him that's been dormant for far too long and promises to send Garcia straight to paradise, adding that Garcia can thank him later.

Mone demands that Milwaukee say hello to their CEO, then addresses Hikaru Shida. She asks how Shida can call herself "The Ace" when she isn't the face of TBS or the AEW women's division, then tells Shida that she will learn at All Out that there's a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Mone.

Shida appears on the jumbo tron and tells Mone that she's one Katana away from losing the TBS Championship. She says Milwaukee knows that you can't beat "The Ace" before Christopher Daniels walks in and informs Kamille that she will be banned from ringside during Mone and Shida's TBS Championship match at All Out.

We then head backstage to The Elite, where Jack Perry sends a message to Bryan Danielson and Matthew Jackson warns Danielson and the rest of Blackpool Combat Club that they will do anything to ensure Perry becomes AEW World Champion.

Adam Page and Swerve Strickland Make Their All Out Steel Cage Match Official

Page instead appears on the jumbo tron outside of Strickland's recently purchased childhood home, then says him and Strickland don't need to sign a contract to know that their match is official. Page enters the house and tells Strickland he has nothing left outside of the ring, then says he can see Strickland's childhood memories as he walks throughout. He says that Strickland's father must not have loved him given the man he turned out to be as he dumps out gasoline, and Strickland tosses over the desk and chair.

Page reminds Strickland that he was outside of his house watching him carry his pregnant wife to the hospital as he continues pouring gasoline out on the porch. He says he told Strickland for months that he wanted nothing more than to burn Strickland's life to the ground. He sits in a chair as he tells Strickland he was happy to let the AEW World Championship slip through his fingers since he was unable to dethrone him, then tells him that he will take whatever's left of Strickland from him this Saturday in their Steel Cage Match. He tells Page to say goodbye to regaining the AEW World Championship and his career, then says he gets some practice tonight.

Page lights a match, and Strickland begins screaming. Page tells Strickland that tonight he will say goodbye to Strickland's house and sets it on fire as a helpless Strickland watches from the ring sobbing and the show goes off the air.
