AEW Dynamite Results 7/31 - CMLL World Women's Title Eliminator Match, Darby Allin Vs. Adam Page & More

Willow Nightingale will be going head-to-head with former friend turned bitter rival Kris Statlander in a CMLL World Women's Championship Eliminator Match, with the latter earning a shot at the former's title should she win. Not only did the pair previously square off in a semifinals match during the 2024 Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament earlier this year, but Nightingale emerged victorious over Deonna Purrazzo in a CMLL World Women's Championship Eliminator Match this past Saturday at AEW Battle Of The Belts XI.

After winning the Royal Rampage match last Friday on "AEW Rampage" and earning a shot at the AEW World Championship at AEW Grand Slam in September, Darby Allin looks to score another victory tonight as he collides with "Hangman" Adam Page. The pair met one another during last week's edition of "Dynamite" in AEW Blood & Guts, wherein Allin and Team AEW defeated Page and Team Elite.

Will Ospreay looks to gain some momentum heading into his AEW American Championship match against titleholder MJF at AEW All In as he squares off with Lance Archer. Ospreay lost the AEW American Championship (then known as the AEW International Championship) to MJF two weeks ago, and the pair encountered one another again last week when Ospreay confronted "The Salt Of The Earth".

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. defeated longtime friend and rival Hikaru Shida last week. However, the celebration was short lived for her when Kamille attacked her and aligned herself with TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. The following day, Mone and Kamille confronted Baker while she was speaking on a panel at San Diego Comic Con. A physical altercation between Baker and Mone ensued, and Tony Khan subsequently granted Baker a shot at Mone's title on August 25. Following such events, Mone will be appearing on tonight's show with something on her mind to share.

Roderick Strong will be joining forces with The Don Callis Family's Rush and The Beast Mortis to take on The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy, Tomohiro Ishii, and Ring of Honor World Champion Mark Briscoe. Briscoe successfully retained his title against Strong during ROH Death Before Dishonor this past Friday while Ishii and Kyle O'Reilly unsuccessfully challenged Strong's Undisputed Kingdom stablemates Matt Taven and Mike Bennett for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at the pay-per-view event.

Mariah May is set to speak with Renee Paquette a little under a month out from challenging Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship in London, England. After May secured herself a victory last week, Storm blindsided May leading to a major pull apart brawl between the two.

Additionally, Bryan Danielson of Blackpool Combat Club will be speaking before he challenges Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium.

We are live! Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as MJF makes his way down to the ring.

We Hear From MJF

MJF takes shots at the Greenville crowd, then brags about being AEW American Champion and says he will be walking into enemy territory at All In. He says that he will beat Will Ospreay once again in his home country, then demands respect from the fans and tells them to get on their feet.

Ospreay's music hits, and he makes his way out. He looks to attack MJF, but MJF slides out of the ring and retreats up the ramp before he can. Ospreay then warns MJF about bringing up his family as he has in the past, and says he knows the American fans love their flag as much as he loves the United Kingdom flag. He says fans still refuse to acknowledge the American Championship because he threw the AEW International Championship in a garbage can. He says men have worked hard to give the title legacy and lineage, and says MJF isn't worthy of holding the International Championship. He says when MJF is in Wembley Stadium, he will restore honor to the International Championship.

MJF calls the crowd disgusting for liking Ospreay, then claims to be an American hero and says he lets his actions do the talking. He says he will annihilate Ospreay at All In, but he won't even make it to London, England after he faces Lance Archer.

Archer's music hits and he makes his way down.

Will Ospreay vs. Lance Archer

The bell rings and Archer delivers a chokeslam to Ospreay. Archer connects with a series of elbows on Ospreay in the corner, but Ospreay responds with a forearm. Archer lands a forearm of his own, then connects with a springboard kick. The action then spills to the outside, and Archer delivers a bodyslam to Ospreay on the floor, but Ospreay responds with a hurricanrana on him that sends him crashing into the barricade. Ospreay and Archer get back inside the ring, and Ospreay looks to fly off the top. Archer pulls him down.

Back from the break, Ospreay delivers a kick to Archer's head and looks to fly off the ropes. Archer catches him and sends him crashing into the mat with a slam, then hits a spinebuster and goes for a pin. Ospreay kicks out and catches Archer with a kick to his face, then drives him into the mat and charges at him in the corner. Archer intercepts him with a boot, then steps on Ospreay and ascends to the top.

Ospreay trips Archer, then joins him on the ropes. Archer looks to chokeslam Ospreay, but Ospreay counters into a Spanish Fly and goes for a pin. Archer kicks out, but Ospreay catches him with the Os-Cutter and goes for another pin. Archer kicks out once again, and Ospreay sets up for the Hidden Blade. Archer catches Ospreay with a clothesline and goes for a pin, but Ospreay kicks out. Ospreay then delivers a pair of Hidden Blades to Archer for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

After the match, MJF blindsided Ospreay and rains down right hands on him. He lands a Brainbuster and slides on the "Dynamite" Diamond Ring, but Kyle Fletcher runs dwon to help out Ospreay. MJF then demands to be given a mic as Fletcher explains to Don Callis why he just helped Ospreay. He says Ospreay is his best friend and his brother, and says Ospreay is laying in a heap on the ground because of MJF. Fletcher says he heard what MJF said last week, then says MJF only cares about himself rather than America and recalls dreaming of moving from Australia to America because that's where the best wrestler. He says the USA has given him everything, and says everyone is sick of MJF. He tells MJF to get in the ring so he can beat him down, and while MJF initially squares up, he ultimately decides against it. MJF then agrees to give Fletcher a match next week.

Back from the break, Alex Marvez stands by with Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith backstage. Bill gives Jericho a cake to celebrate his 102 day reign and counting as FTW Champion. Bryan Keith then sends a message to Katsuyori Shibata ahead of their match on next week's "Dynamite".

Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway then make their way down to the ring. Willow Nightingale follows.

Statlander attacks Nightingale from the apron and delivers a missile dropkick off the top rope. The bell rings and Statlander fires off a couple chops on Nightingale. She looks to land a splash on her in the corner, but Nightingale moves out of the way and lands a boot on her. Statlander and Nightingale then roll each other up before Nightingale rocks Statlandr with a forearm and lands a Northern Lights suplex. She goes for a pin, but Statlander kicks out.

Nightingale and Statlander end up on the outside, and Nightingale connects with a forearm on Statlander's spine. She sends her crashing into the barricade, then looks to land a cannonball but Statlander moves out of the way.

Back from the break, Nightingale delivers a spinebuster to Statlander and goes for a pin. Statlander kicks out and lands a back elbow on Nightingale, then gets her in an electric chair position and sends her crashing into the mat face first. She follows it up with a Scissor Kick and goes for a pin, but Nightingale kicks out.

Nightingale sends Statlander crashing onto the apron, but Statlander drags Nightingale out to join her. The pair then exchange forearms before Nightingale lands a Death Valley Driver on Statlander. Nightingale then gets on Hathaway's face and lands a forearm on him, but walks into a strike from Statlander. Statlander then gets Nightingale back in the ring and looks to fly, but Nightingale intercepts her with a powerbomb. She follows it up with a DDT and goes for a pin, but Statlander kicks out.

Statlander delivers a 450 Splash off the top rope to Nightingale and goes for a pin of her own, but Nightingale kicks out. Hathaway hands Statlander a chain and distracts the referee. Statlander wraps the chain around her hand and hits Nightingale with it, then pins her for the win.

Winner: Kris Statlander

After the match, Hathaway hands Statlander a chair. Statlander hits Nightingale with it a couple of times, but security runs down to the ring to prevent Statlander from using the chair again. Statlander then takes down the three guards and Hathaway holds up her hand.

Back from the break, Bryan Danielsn makes his way down to the ring.

We Hear From Bryan Danielson

Danielson says it's great to be in Greenville, then recalls having his engagement pictures with his now-wife Brie Bella in Greenville. He says he and Brie were recently looking through the pictures, then says the good old days are gone before you know it. He says he wants to walk about presence and promises tonight, then says he's been lucky in his career He says although he was forced to retire, he's been able to be present since he returned to professional wrestling.

Danielson says the last three years in AEW have been fun and incredible, then says before he came down to the ring, he was able to be present behind the curtain and during the fan's cheers for him. He then says he promised his daughter that he would stop wrestling when she turned 7, and the last professional wrestling contract he ever signed would be with AEW. He says his AEW contract ends tomorrow, and says he promised to give his best every time he stepped in the ring.

Danielson says he set out to do two things in AEW when he arrived: kick people's head's in and become AEW World Champion. He says he's accomplished the former, but not yet the latter. He says his match against All In for the title will be his last shot, and while doctors and his family advise him against wrestling, he promises to give everything he has at Wembley Stadium. He says that he will go all in on August 25.

Strickland's music hits, and he makes his way down to the ring alongside Prince Nana. Strickland tells Danielson that he has an immense amount of respect for him, and says he'd be rooting for him at All In if it were any other time. He says now is his time rather than Danielson, and says unlike Danielson, he was successful in winning the AEW World Championship like he said he would. He says Danielson said he'd kick everyone's head in, but he couldn't handle it when people kicked back.

Strickland says Danielson had a classic against Will Ospreay but got hurt and he got pinned during Anarchy In The Arena while he retained his title against Ospreay. He questions if Danielson's body can handle being AEW World Champion, then promises to Danielson that he is the most dangerous man in AEW and will walk out of All In holding his title. He says when he's done with Danielson, Danielson won't be able to walk.

Strickland looks to leave the ring, but Danielson stops him and says he has another promise. He says he will never wrestle again if he doesn't win the AEW World Championship at All In, then ups the stakes on August 25 and throws out the challenge of Title vs. Career. Danielson then offers his hand to Strickland, and Strickland shakes it. Strickland calls Danielson's challenge noble, but tells him to keep his promise to his family rather than him.

Roderick Strong, Rush, and The Beast Mortos then make their way down to the ring. The Conglomeration follows, and Don Callis joins the commentary desk.

Strong brawls with Ishii on the outside as Rush and Mark go at it. The bell rings and Cassidy mocks Mortos inside the ring. He sends him crashing into the mat, but Mortos gets back up to his feet and clocks Cassidy from behind. Ishii then gets inside the ring, but Mortos levels him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Ishii quickly recovers and lands a vertical suplex on Mortos.

Rush then gets inside the ring and stares down Ishii. Ishii runs over Rush with a shoulder block, and the pair exchange right hands with one another. The two continue going back and forth before Mark gets inside the ring and exchanges right hands with Rush. Mark and Strong brawl on the apron, but Mark takes down Strong with a blockbuster on the apron. He then flies with the assistance of a chair to level Mortos and Rush.

Back from the break, Rush and Mortos deliver a double shoulder tackle to Cassidy. Mortos then looks to send Cassidy crashing into the mat, but Cassidy lands a Stun-Dog Millionaire on Mortos. Mark then tags in and fires off strikes on Rush and Mortos before Strong and Ishii tag in.

Strong fires off forearms on Ishii, but Ishii stays standing and lands a forearm on Strong. He levels Rush and Mortos with a pair of German suplexes, then lands a suplex on Strong. Cassidy delivers a DDT to Strong, and Mark connects with an elbow drop off the top rope. Ishii then delivers a clothesline and Mark pins Strong, but Mortos and Rush send Cassidy and Mark crashing into the pair to break the fall.

Strong powerbombs Ishii and goes for a pin, but Ishii kicks out. STrong adn Ishii then exchange strikes, but Mortos and Mark tag in. Mark delivers a missile dropkick to Mortos, but Rush lands an Exploder on him. Ishii levels him with a clothesline, but Strong delivers a backbreaker to Ishii. Cassidy lands Orange Punch on Strong, but Mortos takes him out. He then delivers a piledriver to Mark for the win.

Back from the break, we head over to a conversation between Mariah May and Renee Paquette about the recent developments between May and Toni Storm, as well as to gain some insight into May's betrayal of Storm.

Back at ringside, Storm appears on the ramp and says she still has love for May. She says All In will be the "romance of a lifetime".

Kamille and Mercedes Mone then make their way down to the ring. Brittany Jade is already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Kamille wastes no time. She sends Jade crashing into the corner, then rakes her eyes along the top rope and connects with a pump kick. Kamille then delivers an over the shoulder cutter-facebuster combination for the win.

After the match, Mone joins Kamille in the ring. She steps on Jade as Kamille holds up her hand, then tells Greenville to say hello to their CEO. Mone introduces Kamille as the newest member of Mone Corporations before Kamille dumps Jade out of the ring and Mone voices her frustrations with Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. targeting her. She thanks Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson for suspending Baker, then says it's her house now. She says she will turn her house into a mansion, and says Mone changes everything.

"Hangman" Adam Page then makes his way down to the ring. Darby Allin follows.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Allin conncts with an arm drag on Page and dropkicks him out of the ring, then looks to deliver a Coffin Drop off the top and to the outside. Page catches him and sends him crashing into the floor with a suplex, then sends him crashing into the barricade. The pair brawl up the ramp, and Allin sends Page crashing onto the floor. He ascends up one of the entrance tunnels and delivers a Coffin Drop to Page.

Back from the break, Page wears down Allin in the ring and looks to deliver a vertical suplex to him. Allin escapes and delivers a springboard crossbody, but the lights suddenly go out. They come back on, and Page sends Allin crashing into the ring steps on the outside. Page then drags the ring steps out of their normal position and sends Allin crashing into them. Allin lands on his feet and looks to use the steps as a launching pad, but Page sends him crashing into the ring post and the ring apron. He then delivers three powerbombs to Allin on the apron and delivers a Fallaway Slam to him on top of the ring steps.

Back from the break, Page and Allin teeter on the top rope before Page delivers a Fallaway Slam to Allin. Allin responds with a tope suicida to Page on the outside over the ring steps, then lashes him with his belt back inside the ring and delivers a pair of splash to him in the corner. He looks for a third, but Page moves out of the way. Allin then delivers a Code Red on Page and ascends to the top, then looks to land a Coffin Drop. Page intercepts him with a Sleeper, then follows it up with a lariat as Allin flies over the top from the apron and goes for a pin. Allin kicks out, and a frustrated Page rains down right hands on him.

Page powerbombs Allin and pins him, but Allin kicks out. Page then lands a pair of Dead Eyes and sets up for the Buckshot Lariat, but Allin manages to roll up Page for the win.

Winner: Darby Allin

After the match, Page grabs several chairs from under the ring and tosses them into the ring out of frustration. Allin heads to the back as the show goes off the air.
