WWE Raw Results 7/29 - Six Woman Tag Team Match, Seth Rollins Meets With Drew McIntyre And CM Punk

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "WWE Raw" on July 29, 2024, coming to you from the Xcel Energy Center in St Paul, Minnesota!

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will be colliding with one another at WWE SummerSlam this coming Saturday. With just days out from meeting in the ring, the special guest referee of the match, Seth "Frekain" Rollins, will be providing both men with his rules and instructions tonight during the go home edition of "Raw" before the Premium Live Event. While things between McIntyre and Punk have been well documented over the last several months, Rollins has had his fair share of issues with both of them. This led to "Raw" General Manager Adam Pearce naming him special guest referee during last week's edition of "Raw" with no one else willing to assume the position.

A huge six woman tag team match is set for tonight, as Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler go head-to-head with Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, and Lyra Valkyria. The two parties have encountered one another a handful of times over the course of the past few weeks as the tensions between them continue to grow, with Deville scoring a win over Valkyria in singles competition last week after some assistance from Baszler and Stark. Later that night, however, Valkyria along with Chance and Carter got some retribution after helping Zelina Vega emerge victorious over Stark.

Ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship match against titleholder Damian Priest at SummerSlam, GUNTHER looks to be gaining some momentum heading into the bout as he squares off with Priest's Judgment Day ally and one half of the reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor. GUNTHTER has not shied away from letting Priest know what he thinks of him over the last couple of weeks, and things between the pair escalated last week when the pair found themselves in a huge backstage brawl and the aforementioned Pearce subsequently kicked them both out of the Resch Center.

As the Wyatt Sicks continue to target them and their new ally Chad Gable, Julius Creed and Brutus Creed will have to refocus their sights tonight as they take on Otis and Akira Tozawa. The four men encountered one another last week when The Creed Brothers blindsided the Alpha Academy members.

Additionally, Karrion Kross will be facing Xavier Woods after Kross and his Final Testament stablemates defeated Woods and the aforementioned Otis and Tozawa last week, while Bronson Reed collides with Sheamus following an in-ring physical confrontation with one another and Pete Dunne last week as the pair look to settle their issues for good. Per WWE's event page, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, Rey Mysterio, and Jey Uso are all advertised to be in town.

We are live! Michael Cole and Pat McAfee greet audiences at home as Seth "Freakin" Rollins makes his way down to the ring.

Seth Rollins Lays Down The Rules For Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's Match At WWE SummerSlam

Rollins welcomes fans to Monday Night Rollins, then introduces himself and says with SummerSlam only five days away, the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is right around the corner. He says the three of them are in St. Paul to lay out some rules and regulations, then introduces Punk and McIntyre. Both men then make their way down to the ring.

Rollins says he sees that there's lots of tension between Punk and McIntyre, then reminds them both that if they lay a finger on one another or him, the match at SummerSlam is off per Adam Pearce. Punk rolls out of the ring, and McIntyre says that he knows Punk is scared of him. He assures Punk that he'll control himself until Saturday.

Punk says he's not afraid of McIntyre or Rollins, but rather what they'll do him. Rollins intervenes and tells Punk he's calling the shots, then says he volunteered to be the special guest referee in their match because no one else would. He says he would relinquish that position, then tells Punk to get back into his ring if he wants to face McIntyre like he and the rest of the WWE Universe want.

McIntyre tells Rollins that their rivalry is professional and a desire to be the best. He says Punk is not what's best for business, then tells Rollins that Punk is the real enemy. Rollins tells McIntyre that if anyone hates Punk as much as he does, it's him. He then tells McIntyre that if anyone hates him as much as Punk, it's also him. He tells McIntyre and Punk to quiet down in order for him to lay down the rules and regulations of their match.

Rollins says he has only one rule and regulation: McIntyre and Punk listen to everything he says. He says he's the boss on Saturday in their match, then says he counts to three whenever he does, tap outs only count when he says so, count outs may not be valid after ten, and disqualifications may not count.

Punk tells Rollins he hopes that he's a better special guest referee than he dresses, then warns him against screwing him out of the match and tells him that he doesn't want his help. McIntyre tells Punk that he's worried about the wrong person when he should be worried about him, then tells him that he hates him. He says he can't go anywhere without Punk's name being shouted at him, then says he's spent the last seven months saying everything he has to. He says he wasn't trying when he injured Punk's triceps, then asks Punk what will happen Saturday after everything he's put him through. He says he's not Punk's enemy, but rather the bell is on Saturday with the beating he'll give him.

Punk says he was absent from WWE for 10 years, but fans still cheered his name. He says fans also sing Rollins' song, but they don't cheer for McIntyre. He tells McIntyre that he hopes he's enjoyed the last six months, and says the worst thing he's done in his career was injure him. He says McIntyre is stupid and dumbs himself out of opportunities. He says while he may be McIntyre's enemy, McIntyre's worst enemy is himself. He says while he may not be as big or as fast as him, he has heart and fan support. He then asks McIntyre what he's got. McIntyre holds up Punk's bracelet with his wife and dog's name on it in response, and Punk gets into his face. The pair then stare one another down.
