WWE Raw Results 7/22 - CM Punk Appears, Sonya Deville Collides With Lyra Valkyria & More

CM Punk will be appearing on "Raw" tonight for the first time since July 8 with something on his mind to share. Over the past couple of months, Drew McIntyre has taken immense issue with Punk becoming interfering in his business, including costing him the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash At The Castle in his home country of Scotland and keeping him from successfully cashing in his Men's Money In The Bank briefcase at WWE Money In The Bank. Due to McIntyre's actions on the Money In The Bank Post-Show, he was suspended, but looked to have it lifted by "Raw" General Manager Adam Pearce during last week's edition of the show. While Pearce came close to lifting the suspension, McIntyre refused to issue an apology to two referees.

After she defeated Zelina Vega in singles competition last week, Sonya Deville looks to score another win tonight as she goes one-on-one with Lyra Valkyria. Valkyria, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance provided a helping hand to Vega after Deville and her teammates Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark from a post-match beatdown. Later that night, Baszler and Stark defeated Carter and Chance in tag team competition.

The Final Testament's Karrion Kross and Authors of Pain will be squaring off with Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Xavier Woods in a Six Man Tag Team match. Woods and his New Day stablemate Kofi Kingston have had their fair share of issues with The Final Testament over the course of the past several weeks, and Woods recruited the help of Otis and Tozawa last week with Kingston having been attacked by Kross, Akam and Rezar on July 1.

Additionally, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio of Judgment Day, Drew McIntyre, and Jey Uso are all advertised to be in town as per WWE's event page.

We are live! Michael Cole and Wade Barrett greet audiences at home as GUNTHER makes his way down to the ring.

GUNTHER says he took some time to reflect on what he said to Damian Priest last week, but immediately takes it back as soon as the crowd starts booing him. He says he meant every word, and calls both Priest and fans "bums", then points out the fact that he's kicking off "Raw" rather than Priest. He says Priest does not live up to the hype, and says his story doesn't cover up Priest being a wannabe. GUNTHER then says today is the day that Judgment Day will be judged by "The Ring General". He calls the entirety of Judgment Day "street trash", then calls Priest down to the ring to make him an offer: lift the weight off his shoulders by handing him the World Heavyweight Championship.

Priest's music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He wastes no time and connects with a right hand on GUNTHER. The pair then begin to brawl with one another as officials run down to the ring to try and break Priest and GUNTHER up.

Back from the break, we see Priest and GUNTHER continue to brawl with each other backstage.

Back at ringside, Ilja Dragunov makes his way out. Bron Breakker follows.

The bell rings and Breakker cinches in a waist lock on Dragunov. Dragunov escapes with a series of back elbows, and the action spills to the outside. Breakker wears down Dragunov and gets him back inside the ring, but Dragunov lands a running knee on him and sends him crashing into the corner. Breakker fires off strikes on Dragunov, but Dragunov lands a boot on Breakker that sends him into the ropes. The pair then begin brawling on the apron before Breakker sends Dragunov crashing into the top of the ring post midsection first.

Back from the break, Dragunov fires off strikes on Breakker. Breakker intercepts him and delivers a gutbuster to him, and the two exchange strikes with one another. Dragunov hits an enzuigiri on Breakker, then follows it up with a jumping boot and the Constantine Special. He lands a jumping knee and a running boot on Breakker in the corner, then sends him crashing into the mat with a powerbomb. He goes for a pin, but Breakker kicks out.

Breakker delivers an avalanche hurricanrana to Dragunov and goes for a pin, but Dragunov kicks out. Breakker then ascends back to the top, but Dragunov connects with an enzuigiri and joins Breakker on the ropes. Dragunov delivers a superplex and the H-Bomb to Breakker, then gets him up on his shoulders on the apron and lands a Death Valley Driver. He looks to fly off the apron, but Breakker intercepts him with a spear. The referee begins a ten count, but stops herself. She then checks on Dragunov on the outside and calls off the match.

Winner (and new #1 Contender): Bron Breakker (via referee stoppage)

We then head over to Judgment Day's lounge, where we see Rhea Ripley update the rest of the group as to what's going on relating to the group. Dominik Mysterio then pulls Ripley aside and asks her about her flirty interactions with Jey Uso on social media. Ripley dismisses them as him just having fun and tells him not to pick a fight with Jey. After she walks off, Finn Balor tells Dominik that he knows what he has to do when it comes to Jey Uso.

We then head over and see Adam Pearce standing by with the two referees from last week as Drew McIntyre shakes his hand.

Back at ringside, Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance make their way down.

Back from the break, we head backstage and see Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Xavier Woods celebrate Akira Tozawa's birthday today with a cake.

Back at ringside, Michael Cole reveals that Damian Priest and GUNTHER have been sent home as Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark make their way out.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Deville delivers a knee to Valkyria's midsection and hits a hair whip on her, but Valkyria fires off shoulders on Deville's midsection in the corner. She then trips Deville and lands a dropkick on her, but Deville slides out of the ring for a breather. Valkyria looks to land a dropkick through the middle rope, but Deville sees her coming and tosses her into the barricade.

Back from the break, Valkyria sits Deville on the top rope and fires off forearms and right hands on her. She connects with a superplex, but Deville lands a jumping knee and a kick on her. Valkyria delivers a boot to Deville's midsection, then delivers a second boot to her and lands a Northern Lights suplex. She goes for a pin, but Deville kicks out.

Valkyria gets Deville up on her shoulders, but Deville escapes and looks to land Deville's Advocate. Valkyria avoids it and delivers a gut wrench Michinoku Driver to Deville. She ascends to the top, but Baszler distracts the referee and Stark trips her. Carter and Chance go attack Stark and Baszler, but Valkyria delivers a dropkick through the middle ropes to take them out. Deville then intercepts her and delivers Deville's Advocate for the win.

Winner: Sonya Deville

We then head over to another VHS tape from the Wyatt Sicks of Sister Abigail. Uncle Howdy tells Sister Abigail to look at herself as a montage of her plays.

Back from the break, CM Punk makes his way down to the ring.

Punk says it's great to be alive on a Monday Night in Wisconsin, then says it's time to stain Green Bay and his pink shoes with the blood of a "Scottish Psychopath". He announces he was medically cleared this past weekend, then calls Drew McIntyre down to the ring for a fight.

McIntyre's music hits, and he appears. He tells Punk he can't explain how long he's waited for this. He says nothing will stop him from getting in the ring and tearing Punk apart except he doesn't want to. Punk says he wants to tear McIntyre apart, and goes after him on the ramp. Officials appear to hold Punk back, and McIntyre says a match between them is bigger than Green Bay. He parades Punk's bracelet around, and Punk looks to break free. Adam Pearce then makes his way out, and tells Punk that there's a reason McIntyre doesn't want to fight tonight. He announces that McIntyre's suspension has been lifted, and says that McIntyre and Punk will collide at SummerSlam. He says that if McIntyre and Punk lay their hands on one another, the one to throw the first punch will be suspended. He says that they've created too much chaos, then says he has a referee problem.

Seth "Freakin" Rollins then makes his way down to the ring and shakes Pearce's hand. He hugs him, then gets inside the ring and grabs a mic. Rollins tells Green Bay that they had themselves a problem, then says McIntyre and Punk hate each other. Rollins says all the chaos the pair means that no one else wants to get in the ring with them to referee their SummerSlam match, then says there's a guy who thrives on chaos and wants to put them both in their place: himself. He then declares that he will be the special guest referee in McIntyre and Punk's SummerSlam match.

We then head backstage and see Dominik Mysterio run into Liv Morgan. Finn Balor catches them speaking and Morgan leaves.

Back at ringside, Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Xavier Woods and Maxxine Dupri make their way out.

Back from the break, Sami Zayn chats with Cathy Kelley about Bron Breakker. They hear a noise, and when Zayn investigates, he finds Judgment Day attacking Jey Uso.

Back from the break, The Final Testament makes their way down.

Woods and Kross begin the action. The bell rings and Kross immediately tags out to Rezar. Rezar fires off chops on Woods, then tags in Akam. Akam lands a right hand on Woods' spine, but Woods connects with a forearm and a kick. He fires off chops on him and tags in Tozawa. Tozawa lands a forearm on Akam, then sends him crashing out of the ring. He delivers a dropkick and a tope suicida to him through the ropes, then becomes fired up and rips off his shirt.

Back from the break, Kross delivers a boot to Tozawa and gets him up on his shoulders. He sends Tozawa crashing into the mat, then lands a forearm on Woods on the apron. Tozawa sends Kross crashing into the top turnbuckle, then tags in Otis. Otis levels Kross and the interfering Authors of Pain with clotheslines, then delivers a splash to Akam. He delivers The Caterpillar to him, but Kross surprises him with a forearm. Woods tags in and delivers a dropkick to Kross as Tozawa levels Authors of Pain on the outside. Woods fires off right hands on Kross in the corner, but Kross gets Woods on one shoulder and sends him crashing into the mat with The Final Prayer for the win.

Winners: The Final Testament

After the match, Chad Gable's music hits and he makes his way out with The Creed Brothers.

Gable tells Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri that he wanted to talk to them because he can't stay away from them. He says Otis has assumed leadership of the group, but he lost the first match as leader. He says that brains aren't Otis' strong suit, then says he recruited The Creed Brothers to fill in some weaknesses. He asks the rest of Alpha Academy to rejoin him with the Wyatt Sicks hunting down the rest of the "Raw" roster.

Otis cites the Wyatt Sicks' attack of The Creed Brothers last week as an example of his protection, and says he's the kind of man to flee when someone else is being attacked. Otis informs Gable he will not be rejoining him, and Gable asks Dupri and Tozawa if they will to. Dupri and Tozawa make it clear that won't be the case.

Gable orders The Creed Brothers to attack Otis and Tozawa. Brutus Creed and Julius Creed do so, but Otis levels them with a double clothesline. He looks to take down Gable, but Gable and The Creed Brothers outnumber Otis. Brutus and Julius send Otis crashing into the ring post shoulder first, then send him crashing into the apron.

Gable then hands Brutus and Julius a chair each, but the lights go out and the Wyatt Sicks' music begins to play. Julius and Brutus prepare for the arrival of the group with chairs in hand. Sister Abigail, Mercy The Buzzard, Ramblin' Rabbit, and Huskus The Pig Boy appear on the ramp as Uncle Howdy appears in the ring behind Gable. He connects with a Sister Abigail on him and falls to his knees.

Back from the break, Bronson Reed makes his way down. Pete Dunne follows, but before the scheduled match between the pair can start, Sheamus appears and levels Dunne with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus and Reed then begin brawling, and Sheamus lands a Brogue Kick on Reed. He then delivers The Ten Beats of the Bodhran to Dunne and looks to land a Brogue Kick on Dunne, but Dunne avoids it. Sheamus opts to land one on Reed instead.

We then head backstage to Judgment Day's lounge, where Rhea Ripley asks everyone else what happened. Finn Balor announces that he got them a match against Jey Uso and Sami Zayn later tonight, and says he got a singles match against GUNTHER next week. Ripley then chews everyone out over disobeying her and tells Dominik Mysterio they're going to the ring.

Back from the break, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio make their way down.

Ripley tells Liv Morgan that if she wants Dominik, she can come and get him.

Morgan's music hits and she appears in the crowd. She says she won't be coming down to the ring because she has self control. She says she can wait until SummerSlam, then says she came down to the ring to declare she and Dominik have feelings for each other. Morgan says gorgeous men like Dominik don't go for girls that look like Ripley. She says they go for girls that look like her.

Ripley looks to go after Morgan, but Dominik holds her back and tells Ripley to let him take care of things. Morgan says she thinks she knows what Dominik will say, and tells him she feels the exact same way. She tells him to say "those three little words", and Dominik says the three words he feels about Morgan: I hate you. He tells Morgan that he hates her, and says she's ruined his life.

Morgan begins to sob and heads out of the crowd as Ripley smiles on and whispers something to Dominik. She plants a kiss on Dominik's cheek, and the happy pair head to the back.

Zelina Vega then makes her way down to the ring. Zoey Stark, Zoey Stark, Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler follow.

The bell rings and Vega rolls up Stark. Stark kicks out and Vega looks to land a hurricanrana on her, but Stark catches her. Vega escapes and sends her crashing into the corner, but Stark sends Vega's arm bouncing off the mat. She looks to land a pair of double knees on it, but Vega rolls out of the way before she can.

Stark fires off shoulders on Vega in the corner, but Vega sends her crashing into the middle turnbuckle and ascends up it. Stark joins her, but Vega lands a back elbow to knock her off. Stark gets back up on the middle rope and sends Vega crashing to the outside.

Back from the break, Stark delivers a dropkick off the top rope. She wears down Vega with a submission hold, but Vega catches her with a Tornado DDT and ascends to the top. She delivers a moonsault and goes for a pin, but Stark kicks out. Stark connects with a thrust kick on Vega and goes for a pin, but Vega kicks out.

Vega sends Stark crashing into the ropes and sets up for the 619, but Deville distracts the referee as Baszler trips Vega. Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance then run down to the ring and attack Baszler and Deville. Back in the ring, Stark lands a powerbomb, but Vega clocks her and lands a Code Red for the win.

Winner: Zelina Vega

We then head backstage and see Xavier Woods request a match against Karrion Kross from Adam Pearce next week. Pearce agrees, and Drew McIntyre walks in to complain about Seth "Freakin" Rollins being the special guest referee in his SummerSlam match against Punk. Pearce then informs McIntyre that he and Punk will be meeting with Rollins inside the ring to go over Rollins "official referee instructions" of their SummerSlam match.

Back from the break, we head over and see a verbal confrontation between The Unholy Union and Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark.

We then head over to a video of GUNTHER reflecting on the World Heavyweight Championship.

Back at ringside, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso make their way down to the ring through the crowd. Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Carlito follow.

Jey and Balor begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock. They take turns locking one another in submission holds before Balor lands a shoulder tackle and a Hammer and Anvil elbow on Jey's head. Jey levels Balor, then delivers a modified Hip Attack and an enzuigiri on Balor in the corner.

Zayn tags in and delivers a double ax handle off the middle rope as Jey holds Balor in place. Balor then sends Zayn crashing into the corner and tags in McDonagh. McDonagh fires off kicks on Zayn in the corner, but Zayn levels him and sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle face first.

McDonagh lands another Hammer and Anvil elbow on Zayn's head and clocks Jey on the apron, but Zayn sends him crashing to the outside. He sends an interfering Balor out to join McDonagh and delivers a springboard moonsault to them off the ropes. Dominik looks to clock Zayn, but the referee catches him. As the referee yells at Dominik, Carlito sends Zayn colliding with the ring post.

Back from the break, McDonagh tags in and keeps Zayn from tagging in Jey. He connects with a back suplex on Zayn before Balor tags in and lands an elbow on Zayn's spine. He rains down right hands on him and delivers a Hammer and Anvil elbow to him, then fires off a shoulder on his midsection and tags in McDonagh.

McDonagh fires off chops on Zayn, but Zayn responds with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Jey and Balor then tag in, and Jey fires off strikes on Balor. He delivers a kick to his midsection and an enzuigiri, then delivers a Hip Attack to McDonagh in the corner and looks to land one on Balor. Balor sees him coming, but Jey connects with a crossbody off the top rope. '

Balor fires off a couple right hands on Jey and tags in McDonagh. McDonagh flies into the ring from the apron and argues with the referee, then tags Balor back in. Balor ascends to the middle rope, but Jey catches him with a superkick. Zayn then tags in and delivers an Exploder to McDonagh in the corner. He sets up for the Helluva Kick, but Dominik grabs his ankle as Carlito distracts the referee. This opens the door for McDonagh to deliver a standing Spanish Fly and go for a pin, but Zayn kicks out.

Jey makes the blind tag in and lands a kick on McDonagh. He and Zayn then deliver 1D to McDonagh and go for a pin, but Balor breaks the fall. The now legal Balor then surprises Jey with a Sling Blade, but Jey delivers a superkick to him. McDonagh sends Jey's face bouncing off the top rope and Balor delivers a missile dropkick to Jey in the corner. McDonagh tags in, and Balor delivers the Coup De Grace to Jey. McDonagh follows it up with a moonsault and goes for a pin, but Zayn breaks the fall.

McDonagh and Balor look to send Jey crashing into the apron, but Zayn pulls down Balor. He then delivers a Helluva Kick to McDonagh and levels Balor, Dominik, and Carlito on the outside. Jey then delivers the Uso Splash to McDonagh for the win.

Winners: Sami Zayn and Jey Uso

After the match, Bron Breakker appears and blindsides Zayn with a spear as the show goes off the air.
