AEW Dynamite Results 7/26 - Triple Threat Tag Team Match, PAC Vs. Gravity

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results for "AEW Dynamite" on July 26, 2023, coming to you live from the MVP Arena in Albany, New York!

A huge Triple Threat Tag Team match is scheduled for tonight, as The Lucha Brothers collide with Best Friends and Blackpool Combat Club's Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. All three teams will be looking for redemption, as the former two teams came up short in a four-way match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at "ROH Death Before Dishonor" while the latter team found themselves on the losing side of the Blood & Guts match between The Golden Elite and BCC, PAC and Konosuke Takeshita last Wednesday.

PAC himself looks to pick up a win of his own tonight as he collides with Gravity. Gravity has been featured in promotions such as AAA, The Crash, and ROH, and last competed in an AEW ring on the February 14 episode of "AEW Dark", during which he ultimately came up short against Kip Sabian.

The International Championship will be up for grabs, as reigning title holder Orange Cassidy defends against AR Fox. "Freshly Squeezed" agreed to the match last week after Fox's longtime friend Darby Allin asked for it as a means of paying him back for all of the help he's provided him over the years. Speaking of Allin, he was able to secure himself a TNT Championship match against Luchasaurus this past Friday on "AEW Rampage" after he eliminated Swerve Strickland during Royal Rampage. The longtime rivals look to settle their differences tonight as they go head-to-head.

Taya Valkyrie had some choice words for Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and challenged her to a one-on-one match following her victory against Skye Blue this past Saturday on "AEW Collision". Tonight, the two will be squaring off with one another for the first time ever.

Additionally, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole have something on their minds to share in light of winning the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament last Wednesday and earning themselves a shot at the World Tag Team Championship.

We are live! Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as Orange Cassidy makes his way down to the ring. AR Fox follows.

Winner (and still): Orange Cassidy

After the match, Cassidy puts his sunglasses on Fox as a show of respect. Fox takes them off his face and breaks them in half, then clocks him with a right hand and quickly retreats in disbelief of what he just did. Darby Allin then runs down and asks Fox what he just did. He says it was an embarrassment for him and tells him to simply take the loss. Fox insists it was a mistake and heads to the back as Allin continues to berate him.

Jon Moxley then appears out of nowhere and delivers both a lariat and the Death Rider to Cassidy.

We then head backstage to Chris Jericho, Don Callis, and Renee Paquette. Paquette says Callis requested time to speak to Jericho, and Callis says he's made arrangements for Jericho to tag with Konosuke Takeshita in a match. Jericho says he's willing to give it a go, and Callis reveals that they will be facing Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara. Jericho becomes unsure of the whole idea after hearing who their opponents will be, but still agrees to participate in the match. Callis then presents Jericho a painting of himself, Jericho, and Bad News Allen.

Back from the break, we head backstage to Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Castagnoli warns the locker room not to mess with Blackpool Combat Club, then tells PAC that Death Before Dishonor was just the beginning. Jon Moxley then walks in and tells Lucha Brothers and Best Friends will pay for PAC's mistake later tonight.

Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone is waiting inside the ring.

We Hear From Jack Perry

Schiavone introduces "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry. Perry then makes his way down to the ring, and Schiavone asks Perry about the negative fan response following his recent win of the FTW Championship. Perry says he beat HOOK, and HOOK went home because he couldn't hang with the big boys. He says when he said he would be winning a championship, he didn't mean the FTW Championship. He says the title he holds was created in a second class company, and despite the fact that it isn't officially recognized, it became a big deal when he captured it. He speaks directly to Taz and says he would've beaten Taz and all his friends back in the day.

Jerry Lynn then marches down to the ring and says himself and his colleagues in ECW paved the way. He says without that company, there would be no "Jungle Boy" and says he's in for a beating if he keeps running his mouth. Perry says he would like to see who would do so, and Lynn drops his mic ready for a fight. Perry backs down and says he isn't dressed for a fight, but challenges him to a one-on-one match next week.

PAC then makes his way down to the ring. Gravity follows.

The bell rings and Gravity delivers a series of dropkicks, the last of which sends PAC crashing out of the ring. PAC slides back inside, but Gravity opts to slide out. PAC follows him, and Gravity slides back in. PAC chases him inside, but Gravity slides out. PAC then catches him with a kick through the ropes. Winner: PAC

After the match, PAC keeps the submission locked in for a few seconds longer.

We then head over to a video from last week of Renee Paquette, Adam Cole, and MJF after winning the Blind Eliminator Tag Team comment. Paquette asks for their thoughts, and Cole looks to speak. MJF cuts him off and takes several shots at Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler before saying himself and Cole are Better Than Them, Bay Bay.

Cole says he has something to say to MJF, and says while he came to AEW looking for gold, he found something much better: a friend in MJF. Cole says he meant nothing when he grabbed the AEW World Championship, and calls MJF one of his closest friends. MJF then offers a shot at the AEW World Championship after their World Tag Team Match with FTR, and Cole thanks him. An angered Roderick Strong storms in and warns Cole once again. He tells him that MJF will turn on him and gets in MJF's face. Cole diffuses the situation and MJF storms off. Cole tells Strong he has other friends, and tells Strong that he's being possessive. He says he's going to talk to MJF, and Strong tries to stop him by grabbing him. Cole pulls away and heads off.

Swerve catches him with a knee mid-air, then dumps him back inside and ascends to the top. He lands the Swerve Stomp and goes for a pin, but Allin kicks out. Both men then end up on the top rope, and Allin delivers a flipping Stunner. Swerve rolls onto the apron, then ascends to the top. Swerve trips him and ascends to the top rope before getting Allin up on his shoulders and delivering a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Jericho asks Melo how her baby is, and Melo says her daughter is doing great. She then asks Jericho what's going on, and Parker chimes in. He holds his comb out to Jericho and tells him that he gave it to him. He pulls it away from Jericho and says it's not ready to give it back. He expresses his doubts about Jericho. Jay then calls Jericho selfish and says Jericho never appreciated the group despite them appreciating him. She says they can no longer give him 100% before walking off with Jay, Melo, and Parker. Jericho asks them if they think it's easy, and Menard tells him it is. He tells him to figure it out and do it fast.
