AEW: Dark Results (12/27) - Matt Menard Vs. Brock Anderson, AR Fox Vs. Slim J, Diamante In Action

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results of "AEW: Dark" on December 27, 2022, coming to you from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida!

Brock Anderson will have his work cut out for him when he faces Jericho Appreciation Society member "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard. Anderson hasn't been in the squared circle since losing to Daniel Garcia in a ROH Pure Championship Match on the November 15 episode of "Dark" while Menard's last singles match was on the October 28 "Rampage" in an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Which man will come out on top?

One-third of the $300,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Battle Royale winners AR Fox will be in action tonight when he goes one-on-one with The Trustbusters' Slim J. Dark Order's Evil Uno (with teammates Alex Reynolds and John Silver in his corner) will also be squaring off with Blake Li while Fuego Del Sol returns to action when he goes head-to-head with Lucky Ali, and Angelico of Spanish Announce Project takes on Dante Casanova.

In the women's division, one half of The Baddies, Red Velvet, will be facing rising star Billie Starkz. Elsewhere, Diamante will be going one-on-one with "Dark" regular Mafiosa. Additionally, The WorkHorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) will be in tag team competition when they take on Terrence and Terrell Hughes. Iron Savages' Bronson and Boulder will also be in action for the first time in a little over a month, when they square off with Brandon Bullock and Jameson Ryan.

We are live! Taz and Excalibur greet audiences at home as Angelico and Serpentico head to the ring. Dante Casanova waits inside.

The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Angelico delivers a knee to Casanova's thigh. Casanova sends Angelico to the mat before Angelico trips him and locks in a full body submission for the win.

Winner: Angelico

We head backstage to Lexy Nair, Arn Anderson and Brock Anderson. Nair asks how he feels going into his match later tonight, and Brock says the Anderson's were left standing alone last year. He says when you put him in a corner, there is a fire lit under his ass and the journey from the corner starts tonight. Arn adds that it's always been the Anderson's against the world and says they've done a lot of bad things over the past four decades. He tells his son to let the world know tonight how good he is (like he knows) and tells him to show everyone who he is .

The WorkHorsemen head to the ring, with Terrell and Terrence Hughes already waiting inside.

Henry and Terrell begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Drake and Terrence tag in. Terrence delivers a Manhattan Drop, then hits a sliding crossbody. Drake delivers a chop, then hits an elbow and tags Henry back in. Henry delivers a kick, then hits a second one to his spine and tags Drake in. Drake delivers a chop, then follows it up with a headbutt. Henry tags in and delivers a series of kicks and right hands. He follows it up with a backbreaker for the win.

Winners: The Workhorsemen

Fuego Del Sol heads to the ring, with Lucky Ali already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Fuego delivers a drop kick. He follows it up with a hurricanrana and several kicks to the face, then delivers a stomp to the back on his neck. Ali shoves Fuego into the corner, then sends him bouncing off the ropes and tries to rip off his mask. Fuego delivers a kick to Ali's head, then ascends to the top rope and delivers a shooting star press. He follows it up with the Tornado DDT for the win.

Winner: Fuego Del Sol

Brock Anderson heads to the ring, followed by Matt Menard.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Daddy Magic sends Anderson to the mat, but Anderson hits a pair of arm drags and a back suplex. He delivers a few stomps to Daddy Magic's arm before Daddy Magic rolls to the outside to catch his breath. He gets back inside, then delivers a lariat and a back elbow. He gloats, then delivers a chop and whips him into the corner. Anderson returns the favor by sending Daddy Magic to the mat, but before he can, Daddy Magic exposes the middle turnbuckle. Anderson delivers several shoulders to Daddy Magic's midsection before Daddy Magic shoves him into the exposed turnbuckle for the win.

Dark Order heads to the ring, with Blake Li already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Uno offers his hand to Li. Li pushes him, which angers Uno and leads him to deliver a kick. He follows it up with a series of chops, but Li fires back with a forearm and a running uppercut. Uno delivers a shoulder tackle, followed by an elbow and a splash in the corner. He then hits a lariat and Something Evil for the win.

Winner: Evil Uno

Red Velvet heads to the ring, with Billie Starkz already waiting inside.

Velvet attacks Starkz from behind. The bell rings and Velvet sends Starkz into the turnbuckle. She delivers a running kick, then delivers several right hands and a dropkick. Starkz fires off several forearms, but Velvet delivers a kick to her midsection. Velvet spills to the outside and Starkz delivers a tope suicida. She tosses her back in, then ascends to the top and looks for the senton atomico. Velvet catches her leg, then delivers a drop toe hold and the double knees to the back of her neck. She follows it up with the Corkscrew Kick for the win.

Winner: Red Velvet

Iron Savages head to the ring, with Brandon Bullock and Jameson Ryan already waiting inside.

Bronson and Bullock begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Bullock fires off several right hands. Boulder tags in and whips Bullock across the ring. Ryan tags in and Boulder delivers a big boot to his face. He gets him up on his shoulders, then plants him and tags in Bronson. Boulder gets Bronson up on his shoulders, then delivers a backpack-cannonball combination for the win.

Winners: Iron Savages

Diamante heads to the ring, with Mafiosa already waiting inside.

The bell rings and Diamante delivers a series of kicks to Mafiosa. She hits a Dragon Screw, but Mafiosa sends her into the middle turnbuckle face first. Diamante delivers a forearm, then ascends to the top and delivers a crossbody. She hits a clothesline, followed by a stunner and a German suplex. Mafiosa delivers a kick to Diamante's head, but Diamante fires back with a Code Red for the win.

Winner: Diamante

Slim J, Sonny Kiss, and Jeeves Kay head to the ring, followed by AR Fox.

The bell rings and the pair lock up. They exchange submissions before Fox delivers an arm drag. Slim fires back with a tijeras, but Fox manages to pull out a Twisting Brainbuster. Slim fires back with a Running Sliced Bread, then fires off a few right hands and chokes Fox on the middle rope. He hits a right hand, then delivers a right hand.

The two men spill to the outside before Slim sends Fox into the stage. He tosses Fox back in the ring, then delivers a suplex and an enziguri. He delivers a lariat, then sends Fox face first into the top turnbuckle. Fox sends Slim into the corner, then delivers a high boot and a lariat. He delivers a dropkick, then follows it up with an enziguri and a diving back elbow. He hits a cutter, then goes for a pin but Slim kicks out.

Slim hits a Tornado DDT-suplex combination, then follows it up with a flatliner and a diving back elbow off the top rope. Slim sits on the top rope, but Fox pulls him off and rolls through into a cutter. Fox delivers a Springboard-Spanish Fly combination, then follows it up with the 450 Splash for the win.
