AEW Dark Results (09/27) - Dante Martin Vs. Anthony Henry, Leon Ruffin And Anna Jay A.S. In Action

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s results of "AEW Dark" on September 27, 2022!

Dante Martin will be taking on Anthony Henry (with Workhorsemen partner JD Drake in his corner) in what promises to be a fast-paced bout between two of AEW's rising stars. Leon Ruffin will make his return to the company as he looks to score a win over BSHP King. The submission specialist Angelico will be facing former Impact Wrestling star Caleb Konley.

Nick Comoroto of The Factory will also be in action as he faces off with Shaheem Ali. The leader of The Wingmen, Ryan Nemeth, will be squaring off with Arjun Singh. "AEW Dark" regular Fuego Del Sol looks to earn a win tonight as he takes on Jay Malachi. Jeeves Kay of The Trustbusters will be taking on Gus De La Vega while Jora Johl will be facing Blake Li.

In the women's division, Jericho Appreciation Society's Anna Jay A.S. (with fellow member Angelo Parker in her corner) looks to continue her dominant streak as she faces Kelly Madan. Jay has shown a much more aggressive side since turning to the dark side after she hit Ruby Soho and lowered the shark cage to let out the JAS at Fyter Fest: Week Two during the Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston. Leila Grey of The Baddies will also be taking on Tiara James to bring home a win for the group as they look to make their way to the top. Charlette and Robyn Renegade will also be facing off with Mila Moore and Mylo.

We are live! Excalibur and Taz greet audiences at home as Fuego Del Sol heads to the ring, with Jay Malachi already waiting in the ring.

Fuego Del Sol vs. Jay Malachi

The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Fuego delivers a chop in the corner. He sends Malachi to the mat before Malachi fires back with a hurricanrana and a drop kick. Fuego rolls up Malachi, but Malachi kicks out. Fuego delivers a drop kick, followed by a Northern Lights Suplex. He goes for a pin, but Malachi kicks out. Malachi delivers a forearm, followed by a springboard lariat. He hits another forearm, followed by a leaping elbow. Fuego hits a drop kick to Malachi's head, then goes for a pin but Malachi kicks out. He delivers several kicks, followed by a running uppercut and a spear in the corner. Fuego delivers a kick to Malachi's chest, then follows it up with the diving foot stomp. He hits the Tornado DDT, then locks in the Neck Crank for the win.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Grey sends James into the mat before the two exchange submissions. Grey sends James' head repeatedly into the top turnbuckle, then follows it up with a few overhand chops. She delivers a boot to James' face, then whips her to the mat. James delivers a German Suplex, then hits several right hands and a splash in the corner. She hits a snapmare and a diving splash, then goes for a pin but Grey kicks out. Grey delivers a facebuster for the win.

The Trustbusters head to the ring, with Gus De La Vega waiting inside.

Jeeves Kay (w/ The Trustbusters) vs. Gus De La Vega

The bell rings and Kay throws his gloves into Vega's face. He hits a drop kick, followed by an uppercut. Vega fires back with several kicks, but Kay manages to deliver an uppercut off the ropes. He then hits a running uppercut and a big boot. He hits several stomps in the corner, followed by his finisher for the win.

Jora Johl heads to the ring, with Blake Li waiting inside.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Johl sends Li to the mat, then steps over him. Johl looks for a vertical suplex, but Li escapes and rolls up Johl. Johl kicks out and delivers a back elbow, followed by a double stomp. Johl hits a vertical suplex before flexing his biceps. Li delivers several right and left hands, followed by a drop kick. Li delivers an uppercut, but Johl fires back with a pump kick for the win.

Anna Jay A.S. and Angelo Parker head to the ring, with Kelly Madan waiting inside.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Jay delivers two back elbows, followed by a kick to Madan's midsection. She delivers a belly to belly suplex, then follows it up with several right hands. Jay delivers a spinning heel kick, then locks in the Queen Slayer for the win.

After the match, Jay locks in the submission maneuver again.

Ryan Nemeth heads to the ring, with Arjun Singh waiting inside.

The bell rings and Nemeth attacks Singh from behind. He sends Singh face first into the top turnbuckle before Singh fires back with a German Suplex. Nemeth hits Singh with several knees, but Singh comes back with a back breaker. Nemeth sends Singh into the corner, then hits the Pendulum DDT. He delivers the Hunk of Love for the win.

Leon Ruffin heads to the ring, with BSHP King waiting inside.

Leon Ruffin vs. BSHP King

The bell rings and King whips Ruffin into the corner. Ruffin delivers a forearm, but King fires back with a running boot. Ruffin delivers a back elbow, but King manages to hit a powerslam. Ruffin delivers a leaping cutter, followed by the Crucifix Bomb for the win.

Winner: Leon Ruffin

Angelico heads to the ring, with Caleb Konley waiting inside.

Angelico vs. Caleb Konley

The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Angelico whips Konley to the mat. Konley delivers an Atomic Drop, but Angelico sends him into the top rope and out of the ring. He sends him into the apron, then tosses him back in the ring. Angelico catches Konley in the middle rope before Konley delivers a jawbreaker. Konley delivers a few chops, but Angelico rakes his thumb into Konley's eye. Konley delivers a back hand, but Angelico manages to lock in a Grounded Argentine Back Breaker for the win.

The Renegade Twins head to the ring, with Mila Moore and Mylo waiting inside.

The bell rings and the Renegades waste no time beating down Mylo and Moore. The two deliver a neckbreaker-spinebuster combination to Mylo for the win.

Nick Comoroto heads to the ring, with Shaheem Ali waiting inside.

The bell rings and the two lock up. Ali sends Comoroto out of the ring before Comoroto sends him spine first into the apron. Comoroto delivers a right hand to Ali's head, then hits a bodyslam and an elbow drop. Ali delivers a pump kick to Comoroto, but Comoroto catches him and hits the Alabama Slam for the win.

The bell rings and the two lock up. They exchange submissions before Martin hits a pair of knees and a suplex. Martin looks for a baseball kick through the bottom rope, but Henry has it scouted and sends him into the mat. He delivers a neck crank, followed by an uppercut. Martin delivers several kicks before hitting a Sunset Flip. Henry sends Martin's arm straight into the mat, then stomps on Martin's hand. Henry delivers a suplex, then goes for a pin but Martin kicks out. Henry hits a kick on Martin's back, but Martin fires back with several right hands. Martin delivers an enziguri, followed by a diving crossbody. He goes for a pin, but Henry kicks out. Henry delivers a kick to Martin's arm, but Martin pulls out a kick to Henry's face. Martin delivers a hurricanrana, but Henry fires back with a kick to his arm. Henry delivers a short arm lariat, followed by the Brian Buster and goes for a pin, but Martin kicks out. Martin manages to hit the Nose Dive for the win.

Winner: Dante Martin

After the match, the Workhorsemen launch an attack on Martin. Sydal makes the save with a chair in hand before the pair challenge The Workhorsemen to a match next week.
