AEW Collision Results 12/7 - Okada Vs. Fletcher, Garcia Vs. Briscoe

Tonight's action includes three more matches in the 2024 Continental Classic. In the Gold League, Darby Allin takes on Komander, filling in for the injured Juice Robinson. In the Blue League, TNT Champion Daniel Garcia battles Mark Briscoe, while rising star Kyle Fletcher goes one-on-one with the Continental Champion himself, Kazuchika Okada. A pair of women's matches round out the announced card — Willow Nightingale vs. Serena Deeb and Mina Shirakawa vs. Emi Sakura.

2024 Continental Classic Gold League: Darby Allin vs. Komander

The bell rings, they do a few counters, Darby gets a side headlock takeover for a one count. Komander to his feet, bounces Darby off the ropes, but Allin grounds him. Komander gets Allin into the corner and whips him across the ring, hits an arm drag but Allin grounds him again. The two begin explaining high-flying maneuvers, Darby gets a two-count with a roll-up before applying the side headlock again. Allin maneuvers Komander into a Sharpshooter but Komander gets to the ropes. Komander his an enzuigiri on the apron and comes off the top ropes, but Darby counters into another roll-up and gets two again. Allin applies another headlock. Komander escapes, Allin comes off the ropes but Komander dodges and hits a springboard moonsault to the outside. Komander rolls Darby back into the ring and starts stomping in the corner. He runs past Allin on the ground, jumps up to the top rope, then comes off with a big flying spinning thing. That gets two

Komander goes to the ground game for a moment before hitting a superkick and sending Darby to the outside, where he hits some more flying moves. Darby regains the advantage, sets up a chair and puts Komander on it, then flies outside the ring with a suicide dive, but Komander moves and Allin his the chair. Both men lie prone on the outside as we go to commercial.

Back from break, the two men are still battling on the outside. Komander hits a big kick to the face on Allin. Komander throws Allin back in the ring and goes for the cover but only gets two. Both men get up and go for the corner turnbuckle and knock heads, both fall down. Allin with punches, Komander gives them back. Strike exchange, Allin catches Komander's kick and flips him over, but Komander lands on his feet. Allin hits Code Red but Komander kicks out at two.

Allin is up in the corner and gets to the second rope, but Komander intercepts. Komander takes Allin to the top and tries a superplex but Allin blocks. Allin pushes Komander away but Komander backflips and lands on his feet, then jumps back up and nails a standing Spanish Fly off the top rope. Komander covers but only gets two. Komander goes to the outside and goes for a springboard move, but Allin pushes him down and rakes his back. Allin goes to the top and his a Coffin Drop on Komander while he's draped over the top rope. Komander falls to the outside Darby comes off the ropes with a suicide dive! Allin gets Komander back in the ring, goes for the cover, but Komander kicks out at two once again.

Both men trying to get to their feet now, Allin whips Komander across the ring and goes for a running move, but Komander counters with knees and hits a poisonrana. Komander and Allin are on the apron now, Komander hits a monkey flip and sets Darby to the floor, then Komander comes off the ropes with a suicide dive. Komander goes for the top rope as Darby rols into the ring. Darby dodges the Shooting Star Press but Komander lands on his feet. Darby then rolls up Komander once again with the Last Supper, and this time he gets three.

Winner: Darby Allin (+3 points)

Renee Paquette is backstage with Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita. Paquette asks Callis what's next. Callis says business has been booming, but now Powerhouse Hobbs is here. Hobbs says that it seems like Callis forgot his number and his email. Hobbs then tells Takeshita he wants the International title. He's taking everything from everyone and it starts with that. Callis is trying to make peace and says Hobbs deserves a shot, but they have to go to Japan and Portugal and all over the world, but they'll get back to him. Hobbs grabs Callis by the throat as he's leaving and says "Get back to me."

International Women's Cup Qualifier: Willow Nightingale vs. Serena Deeb

The International Women's Cup bracket is shown before Arkady Aura introduces the semifinal competitors. Nightingale enters first, followed by Deeb.

They circle and lock up, Deeb gets Willow's arm and twists it. Willow escapes and gets Deeb's back, picks her up and slams her to the ground. Deeb and Willow trade holds on the mat before getting back to their feet. Deeb wins a wristlock counter exchange, but Willow wins an exchange of shoulder tackles, posing afterward. Willow off the ropes, Deeb tries an arm drag but Willow counters and rolls her up. Deeb kicks out and the technical exchange continues untl Deeb floats over Willow, moves out the way of her sit down and goes for the cover. Willow gets out of hit and hits a bridging fisherman suplex for two. Willow gets Deeb in the corner and hammers her with clotheslines. Deeb fights out with kicks, gets to the apron, and drops Willow's neck across the second rope. Deeb hits Willow in the gut with a shoulder, then slides between her legs and kicks her through the ropes to the outside as we go to break.

Back from commercial, Willow hits a pair of lariats on Deeb and smashes her in the corner with more before hitting a boot to the face. Willow throws Deeb into the ropes and catches her with a spinebuster, but only gets two. Willow tries a powerbomb but Deeb escapes through the legs and hits a pair of chops, then delivers clotheslines. Deeb tries to deliver more clotheslines but can't kock Willow down. Finally she does after coming off the ropes a few times. Willow counters the Full Nelson attempt with an elbow but Deeb his a release German Suplex, then gets a hammerlock into a lariat for a two count.

Deeb gets Willow in a powerbomb position but Williw fights out, picks up Deeb, drives her into the corner, then follows up with a powerslam, but the Stampede only gets two. Willow tries a Cannonball in the corner but Deeb moves. Deeb with a dragon screw leg whip, then hits the Deeb-tox, but Willow kicks out at two! Deeb blocks a lariat and avoids a back elbow, but cannot avoid the Pounce. Willow gets Deeb up, then hits her powerbomb for the victory.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Nightingale goes on to face Jamie Hayter next week to determine who goes to the four-way match at Wrestle Dynasty.

Backstage, Renee Paquette is with Thunder Rosa, who says she's beaten both Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa and deserves a shot against whoever wins next week. Rosa talks in Spanish for a moment before saying it'll be fun to make the champion cry, and as long as the fans believe in her and her heart is beating, she's going to fight until she gets her title back.

Jon Moxley addresses his enemies

A video package airs showing what happened between Jay White, Orange Cassidy, Adam Page, and the Death Riders on Wednesday's "Dynamite."

Now Moxley is here in the ring with the Death Riders and he has a mic in his home state. Moxley says let's talk about people who don't want to be AEW World Champion. People think they want it, they say they want it, but nobody actually wants it. Crowd is chanting "Freshly squeezed." Moxley says they're not ready to make sacrifices, to shoulder the weight, to put themselves in harm's way. They just want to hold the belt and take pictures with it, but none of them deserve to even lay eyes on it, and it's his responsibility to make sure they don't. Moxley says Jay White is one hell of a wrestler and he has a lot of respect for him, but Jay White is a child who doesn't know the first thing about what it takes to be champion. "Hangman" Page is self destructive and insecure, he'll play himself out of the game. Crowd is chanting "Cowboy s***." Moxley says none of these guys want it, and then there's Orange Cassidy, We found out at Full Gear who he was, he was not the guy, he was not the one foretold of in the prophecy. Moxley's only regret is he let Orange leave Full Gear with his skull intact. Moxley will tell you this one time, so you better listen: In a business full of talk and no action, he means what he says. Moxley says if Orange Cassidy pisses him off one more time, he'll take him off the board for good.

Orange Cassidy's music hits, and he comes out. He rolls into the ring and faces everyone down. Orange has a mic. The crowd is chanting "freshly squeezed." Cassidy says he can live without ever being AEW world champion, but what he can't live with is Moxley as the champion. So he's going to whatever it takes, he's never going to stop, until Moxley is not the champion. Cassidy says the only way he stops is if Moxley kills him, then throws the mic and his sunglasses at him. He throws his jacket at Yuta and other items of clothing at other Death Riders, who proceed to knock him down and stomp the crap out of him. They sent Orange to the outside and continue beating on him. PAC and Yuta pick up him and take him to the back for unknown reasons as we go to commercial.

2024 Continental Classic Blue League: Kyle Fletcher vs. Kazuchika Okada

FTR are backstage and talking about how they've fought to be the best tag team ever. But Hurricane Helene changed everything, and now they fight for the fallen. Dax Harwood says the first "Dynamite" on Max is a big night for AEW but an even bigger night for FTR. Before they can finish, the Death Riders are seen torturing Orange Cassidy backstage. Moxley is about to pour Drain-o down Cassidy's throat, but FTR stops them. Moxley stares them down for a moment but then leads the Death Riders out of the building.

Kyle Fletcher is out here alone, followed by Okada. They lock up, Okada gets Fletcher's back, but Fletcher fights out and gets a wristlock. Okada drops Fletcher with a leglock, but Fletcher counters by rolling Okada into an armbar attempt; Okada keeps rolling into a cover but only gets one. They get back to their feet and face off again. A double wristlock leaders to an arm breaker for Fletcher, who gets a rear chinlock on Okada. Okada gets to his feet and Fletcher has a side headlock now. Okada rolls Fletcher onto the mat and comes up with a side headlock of his own. Fletcher stands Okada up and backs him into the ropes to force the break, after which Fletcher grabs the side headlock again.

Okada fights out with punches and shoves Fletcher against the ropes, but Fletcher maintains the headlock and grounds him. Okada up to his feet and pushes Fletcher against the ropes again to force the break. They lock up again with double wrists, Fletcher backs Okada against the ropes, the ref counts. Fletcher pretends to angrily strike Okada but stops himself and mockingly pats his chest, leading to Okada forcing again against the opposite ropes and patting his chest. Okada with forearm shots, but Fletcher reverses a whip into a slam, then climbs the turnbuckle and poses. Fletcher gets back down and puts boots to Okada, who reverses a whip and hits a boot. Okada with back elbows in the corner, then rolls Fletcher to the mat and delivers a dropkick. Fletcher rolls to the outside, Okada follows him and delivers a DDT. Okada gets Fletcher back into the ring and gets up on the apron, but Fletcher escapes to the outside on the other side. Okada follows and delivers a pair of European uppercuts, then rolls Fletcher back in the ring again, Crowd clearly behind Okada here, but Fletcher catches him getting back in the ring and hits a draping DDT. Fletcher makes mean faces at the crowd as we go to break.

Back from break, Fletcher still has the advantage and hits a big knee. Fletcher gets Okada back up but Okada fights back with forearms. Fletcher returns forearm fire and they exchange blows. Okada hits an uppercut but Fletcher hits a kick to the gut. They do an Irish Whip exchange, Fletcher misses a double axe handle, Okada doesn't. Okada runs at Fletcher in the corner and hits a jumping back elbow, followed by a DDT. Okada makes the cover but Fletcher kicks out at two. Okada gets Fletcher to his feet and wrenches his arm, getting Fletcher into a Cobra Clutch. Fletcher rakes the eyes to escape and his Okada with an arm drag and a half-and-half suplex. Fletcher poses before coming at Okada, who counters into a big flapjack. Both men are downFletcher runs and Okada in the corner but Okada catches him and drops Fletcher's head over his knee. Okada hits a scoop slam, then goes to the top rope for an elbow drop. Okada poses, then gives the crowd the finger as usual. Okada sets up for the Rainmaker, Fletcher ducks it, but Okada hits him with a dropkick; Fletcher rolls out of the ring. Okada follows him and gets him up for a tombstone, but Fletcher floats over and hits a massive suplex. Okada is almost counted out but gets back in the ring, only to suffer an Everest powerbomb. Fletcher goes for the cover but Okada kicks out! The crowd chants "AEW."

Fletcher runs at Okada in the corner but runs into a boot. He hits Okada again, whips him into the corner and comes in with a strike, goes for another but Okada hits the Rainmaker. Fletcher gets up while Okada is recovering and dodges another Rainmaker. Another series of moves sees the referee blocked off in the corner. Fletcher hits a low blow while the ref can't see it, then hits a sheer drop brainbuster and gets three.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher (+3 points)

The Beast Mortos vs. some jobber

A hype video airs for "AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming" next week.

Beast Mortos runs at the jobber, who dodges and gets some strikes in, but Mortos runs at him again and drops him. Mortos gets the jobber on his shoulder, the jobber floats over and escapes, but Mortos catches him again and drops him with a powerbomb over his knee. Beast hypes up the crowd and hits a discus lariant for the victory.

Winner: The Beast Mortos

Backstage, Renee Paquette is backstage with Top Flight talking about the battle royal last week. Leila Grey says they're supposed to be a team, but Action Andretti and Lio Rush don't seem to understand that. Andretti explains that it was every man for himself. Darius agrees but asks why Andretti turned on them and not Lio Rush. Darius asks when it became about them, Rush says it became about them because the Martins kept losing, so now they're going to go after the tag titles. The two sides argue for a while before agreeing they need to settle things in the ring.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Emi Sakura

Emi Sakura starts things off by throwing Mina around the ring, then getting her into the ropes and hitting chops. Sakura sends Mina into the ropes and knocks her down, but Mina hits a trio of kicks, then another one as Sakura staggers. Sakura counters an Irish Whip and rakes Mina's arm, then hits a massive chop to the chest that knocks Mina to the mat. Sakura drags her up, gets her in a wristlock and chops her down again. She tries to do it a third time but Mina hits a spin kick. She tries to go on offense, but Sakura knocks her down again. Sakura goes to the pin but Mina squeezes out of it and poses. Sakura is angry, but Mina briefly gets the advantage before getting chopped down again, multiple times. Mina responds with more kicks until Sakura catches one and bites her ankle. Sakura then gets Mina's hand and bites it. Sakura is in control via biting as we go to commercial.

Back from break, Mina is fighting out of Sakura's grasp and drives her backward into the corner. Mina runs at Sakura but eats a dropkick. Sakura goes for a running elbow but misses. Mina hits a springboard kick to the jaw, covers but only gets two. Thunder Rosa can be seen in the crowd watching the match. Mina gets Sakura up and drops her down. Sakura fights back with chops, then hits a spinning neckbreaker. Sakura drags Mina up and gets her upside down with a double underhook, she holds her there for a while before turning it into a backbreaker that only gets two.

Mina fights back with slaps, then takes chops and a clothesline from Sakura, who comes off the ropes but eats a discus elbow from Mina. Mina comes off the top rope with a Sling Blade and goes for the cover but Sakura kicks out at two,. Mina runs at Sakura but Sakura hides behind the ref. Mina still manages to hit hit a backfist and a rolling move over the ref, then hits another Sling Blade off the top for the three count.

Winner: Mina Shirakawa

2024 Continental Classic Blue League: Daniel Garcia vs. Mark Briscoe

A Renee Paquette interview from "AEW Rampage" with both competitors airs before their match.

The bell rings and they shake hands. Briscoe with a side headlock on Garcia after the lock up, but Garcia reverses. They get into another headlock reverse exchange, then an exchange of quick pinfall attempts, respectfully facing off each time. Briscoe drives Garcia into the corner while the crowd chants "both these guys." Garcia reverses and shoves Briscoe into the corner, and suddenly things are getting more heated and less repsectful. Briscoe with a big chop on Garcia, and another. Briscoe with a kick to the gut followed by a punch; Garcia reverses a whip but Briscoe hits a back elbow. Garcia to the outside, Briscoe hits a dropkick through the ropes and a suicide dive to the outside before celebrating with the crowd.

Briscoe delivering punches on the outside, then a backdrop on the ring apron. Briscoe up on the apron but Garcia evades him. Briscoe swings and misses, Garcia gets Briscoe in a choke over the ropes, then delivers a running knee that knocks Briscoe to the outside. Garcia gets Briscoe up and chops him, then tosses him into the ringside barricade. Garcia with elbows to the back of the head but takes another chop from Briscoe, and another. Briscoe throws Garcia into the barricade and delivers a pump kick, and then another. Garcia fights back with a forearm, gets Briscoe into the barricade, stands up on a chair and delivers punches while standing on it that the fans count along to. Garcia does his dance, then hits a running dropkick on Briscoe while he's seated on the chair as we go to one more break.

Back from break, Garcia on offense but Briscoe comes off the ropes with a punch. Briscoe takes Garcia into the corner with strikes and delivers more strikes, then lifts him up to the top rope. Briscoe with a big overhand chop, then climbs up and gets into superplex position. Garcia blocks and fights out with punches, knocking Briscoe down. Briscoe hits another big punch and climbs back up, this time trying a superplex to the outside Garcia fights out again and the two exchange punches. In fact they knock each other down and they fall on opposite sides of the turnbuckle to the floor as the ref begins to count.

They get into another big exchange of punches, with both men welcoming the hits, slapping hands, then going at it again. Garcia punches Briscoe inot the corner but misses a clothesline. Briscoe hits a series of chops and more punches, then comes off the ropes, but Garcia stops him with a lariat. Garcia hits a running clothesline in the corner, then throws Briscoe over the ropes in the other corner. Briscoe lands on the aprin and gets Garcia to the floor, then comes off with an elbow drop. Briscoe gets Garcia back in the ring and comes off the ropes with a running clothesline. Briscoe delivers an exploder suplex out of the corner, then hits a Fisherman Buster. Briscoe covers but Garcia kicks out at two.

Briscoe with another side headlock on Garcia, who fights out, but Briscoe gets him up for a rolling Death Valley Driver, followed by a lariat. Briscoe going up top for the Froggy Bo but Garcia cuts him off and climbs up after him. Garcia nails a superplex off the top, the hits a piledriver, but Briscoe kicks out at two. Garcia drags Briscoe to the corner and delivers chops, then gets Briscoe up on top. Garcia thinking about the piledriver off the top, but Briscoe blocks and uses Red Neck Kung Fu to drop Garcia from the top. Briscoe hits Froggy Bo but only gets two. Now he goes for the Jay Driller but Garcia counters into a jackknife cover for two. Briscoe slaps Garcia in the face, then takes numerous chops to the chest. Garcia with a high angle suplex, then hits a kick. Garcia tries to get Briscoe up but Briscoe holds onto the ropes and fights out. Briscoe gets Garcia up for the Cut-Throat Driver and nails it! He covers and gets three.

Winner: Mark Briscoe (+3 points)
