AEW Collision & Battle Of The Belts Ratings Report 10/21/23

With head-to-head competition against WWE PLEs now a distant memory, at least until Survivor Series on November 25, "AEW Collision" has been looking to rebuild its numbers on Saturday night. It did that one week ago, drawing a respectable 504,000 total viewers and a 0.14 in the key 18-49 demographic, and the positive news only continued for this past Saturday's "Collision" in Memphis, Tennessee.

SportsTVRatings reports that "Collision" drew 518,000 total viewers and a 0.16 in the 18-49 demo. Both numbers are up from last week, with "Collision" increasing in total viewers 2.8%, while the 18-49 number increased by 14.3%. The numbers represent the highest "Collision" has done since September 23, which drew 562,000 viewers and a 0.18 in 18-49. The news for "AEW Battle of the Belts VIII," which aired immediately following "Collision," wasn't as good. The special drew 397,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating in 18-49, retaining roughly 76% of the total "Collision" viewers and 81% in the key demo. Both numbers were down from the previous "Battle of the Belts" special in July, which drew 524,000 viewers and a 0.15 18-49 rating, and represent the second lowest total viewership rating in "Battle of the Belts" history, ahead of only the fourth edition of the special held one year ago.

"Collision" featured Bryan Danielson defeating Andrade El Idolo to open the show, along with Jeff Jarrett defeating Eddie Kingston in a Memphis Street Fight, and Big Bill and Ricky Starks defeating Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles, which preceded the return of Jon Moxley. "Battle of the Belts" saw Orange Cassidy, Samoa Joe, Kris Statlander, and The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn successfully defend their AEW International, ROH TV, AEW TBS, and AEW World Trios Titles respectively.
