Will Ospreay Addresses Possibility Of Relocating, Joining WWE

Will Ospreay's NJPW contract is set to expire in February of 2024, setting him up to be one of the most in-demand free agents on the market in recent memory. WWE, AEW, and Impact are all likely to bid for his talents, and now it appears Ospreay may be more open than previously thought to move to the United States for the future of his career.

"I mean, we have spoke about it more," Ospreay told Metro. "I'm now open to the idea of stretching myself out that little bit more. As age has become more apparent to me and my body is hurting more and more, I'm open to all avenues."

According to Ospreay, the subject of relocating to the U.S. has been broached with his girlfriend as he jokingly mentioned that the only thing holding the couple back is the amount of money they spent on their new kitchen. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion also said that he spent time with AEW's Kyle Fletcher and Skye Blue this past summer to get a better idea of what life stateside is like.

Ospreay's new stance flies in the face of recent reports that suggested that working for WWE was unlikely due to Ospreay's reluctance to move. However, Ospreay has been wrestling in the U.S. more and more lately — most recently defeating Mike Bailey at Impact's Bound For Glory over the weekend. Still, Ospreay has not yet given any indication to this point as to which company he may favor for his next wrestling contract.
