Raquel Rodriguez Addresses WWE Women's Roster, Addition Of Jade Cargill

The women's division of WWE has gotten an increased amount of screen time in recent memory, with every healthy woman on either roster appearing on both "WWE Raw" and "WWE SmackDown" in recent weeks. One of the bigger women's storylines involves Raquel Rodriguez and four other stars vying for Rhea Ripely's Women's World Championship. Rodriguez, a Texas native, spoke with Dallas Morning News about the division and its growth, as well as the addition of Jade Cargill. Rodriguez said WWE has one of the most competitive women's divisions in the world. She said the representation of strong, beautiful women is powerful, not only just in the company right now, but across the globe.

"So, adding Jade to that — and of course, you know, on the blue side, we also have Bianca [Belair], we have Bayley, we have Charlotte [Flair], I mean, the list goes on and on of strong, beautiful women, and adding her just kind of gives it a little bit more of a perch," Rodriguez said. "We just have a whole roster full of powerhouse women and I'm excited to see what we do."

It has yet to be announced which brand Cargill will be competing on, or if she will start in "WWE NXT." The former AEW star recently posted photos outside of WWE's headquarters in Stamford. As for Rodriguez, she is set to compete in a fatal five-way match for the Women's World Championship against Zoey Stark, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and a defending Ripley. WWE's Crown Jewel premium live event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 4.
