All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling present Forbidden Door 2023 from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 10 matches are penciled in for the main show, including Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada colliding for the first time. Also, Kenny Omega will defend the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship against Will Ospreay in a Wrestle Kingdom 17 rematch.

The Zero Hour pre-show will see four matches take place, with reigning ROH Women's World Champion Athena battling Billie Starkz in a Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match, Stu Grayson going one-on-one with El Phantasmo, Mogul Embassy's Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun facing El Desperado and CHAOS' Rocky Romero, Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta, and United Empire's Jeff Cobb, TJP, and Kyle Fletcher against Los Ingobernables de Japon's Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI, and Shingo Takagi.

- It was revealed by Tony Khan on social media that Adam Cole had not been cleared to perform against Tom Lawlor this evening due to an illness.

Main Show Gets Underway

MJF (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the AEW World Championship

MJF mocked Tanahashi as the title bout got underway. Tanahashi knocked MJF down with a shoulder tackle. MJF walked up the entrance ramp and said he was done. MJF returned to the ring when the crowd started to chant that he was a coward. MJF attempted to kick Tanahashi after they shook hands.

MJF sent Tanahashi into the middle turnbuckle. MJF took control of the match. The champion kicked out of a quick pin from Tanahashi. MJF locked Tanahashi in a standing submission. The referee ended up kicking MJF's hand off the top rope after catching him using it for leverage. 

Tanahashi took control of the bout. The challenger leaped from the top rope and followed up with a cover. Tanahashi took MJF down with a crossbody from the turnbuckles. Tanahashi sent MJF crashing into the canvas from the top. MJF kicked out of another cover. 

MJF delivered a superplex from the top turnbuckle and attempted a pin. MJF connected with a shoulder breaker and felt his left knee. MJF spat in Tanahashi's face on the mat. Tanahashi took MJF down using his hurt left leg. Tanahashi locked MJF in a Texas Cloverleaf.

Tanahashi continued to wear down the champion. MJF got his knees up when Tanahashi went for a splash from the top. MJF attempted to bring the AEW World Championship into the ring. Tanahashi rolled MJF up while the referee was removing the AEW World Championship. MJF used the "Dynamite" Diamond Ring to win after pushing Tanahashi into the official.

Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Match

CM Punk vs. Satoshi Kojima in a Men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match

Punk and Kojima traded holds. Kojima sent Punk into the ropes with a shoulder tackle. Punk applied a headlock. Kojima briefly took control and sent Punk down. Punk threw Kojima to the floor. Punk and Kojima exchanged chops to the chest at ringside.

Kojima sent Punk back into the ring. Punk and Kojima headed back out to the floor. Kojima took Punk off his feet on the apron. Punk landed a dropkick in the center of the ring. Punk performed a Hulk Hogan leg drop. 

Punk and Kojima traded blows. Punk delivered a flurry of punches in the corner of the ring. Punk attempted a pin. Punk took control of the match. 

Kojima stepped out of the way as Punk came flying into the turnbuckles. Kojima unleashed a series of chops. Kojima landed an elbow drop from the top and went for a cover. Kojima connected with a DDT in the center of the ring. 

Punk delivered a knee strike in the corner. Kojima kicked out of Punk's pin after the former AEW World Champion dropped an elbow from the top. Punk locked in an Anaconda Vice. Kojima fought his way out of Punk's GTS attempt. Kojima landed a cutter. Punk replied with a neckbreaker.

Punk lifted Kojima on his shoulders and walked around the ring. Kojima caught Punk's leg as he attempted another GTS. Kojima went for a cover after connecting with a brainbuster. Punk caught Kojima with a kick and finally landed the GTS to pick up the victory. 

Winner: CM Punk via pinfall

- It was revealed that All Out will take place on September 3 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

AEW International Championship Four-Way Battle

Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Daniel Garcia vs. Katsuyori Shibata for the AEW International Championship

All four men came together in the middle of the ring. Cassidy slowly kicked each wrestler. The match then broke down. Cassidy attempted a pin and then dived to the floor.

Shibata locked in a figure-four leglock on Cassidy. Sabre Jr. entered the ring and locked in his own submission on Cassidy. Sabre Jr. and Shibata went back and forth while knocking Garcia out of the way. Garcia eventually took Sabre Jr. and Shibata down. 

Cassidy attempted a pin on Garcia. The pace of the match picked up. All four men collided in the center of the ring. 

Sabre Jr. and Shibata continued to battle. Each wrestler landed a suplex. Cassidy connected with a DDT on Garcia and attempted a pin. Sabre Jr. went after Cassidy's injured right hand on the apron. 

Garcia struck Shibata with the AEW International Championship and went for a cover. Garcia took the fight to Shibata in the corner of the ring. Shibata fought back. Shibata and Cassidy sat in the middle of the ring and traded blows. Cassidy landed a punch. Shibata replied with an elbow. Cassidy went for a pin after landing a Beach Break.

Sabre Jr. went after Cassidy's injured right hand once again. Sabre Jr. locked in a submission on the mat. Garcia broke things up. Sabre Jr. once again trapped Cassidy in a hold on the canvas. Shibata returned and went after Sabre Jr. Shibata kicked out of bridged pin attempts from Sabre Jr. Cassidy ended up stealing the win after Shibata connected with a PK on Garcia.

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Bout

SANADA (c) vs. "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry w/ HOOK for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

SANADA backed Perry into the ropes. Perry managed to lock SANADA in a submission hold on the mat. SANADA sent Perry out of the ring with a dropkick. Perry then sent SANADA out to the floor and dived through the ropes.

SANADA and Perry exchanged blows in the ring. SANADA tangled Perry up on the canvas, leaving him unable to escape. 

The champion sent Perry down with a big chop to the chest. Perry replied with a dropkick. Perry drove SANADA into the mat. SANADA responded with a neckbreaker off the top rope. 

SANADA and Perry traded blows in the center of the ring. Perry attempted a backslide pin. Perry then locked SANADA in a Skull End, which is the champion's own move. 

SANADA landed a TKO and went for a cover. Perry avoided a high-risk move from SANADA. Perry planted SANADA into the mat with a poisonrana. SANADA landed his own poisonrana moments later and followed up with a Shining Wizard. SANADA went for a cover. SANADA retained the gold after connecting with a moonsault from the turnbuckles.

- Perry attacked HOOK on the entrance ramp after the match. 

10-Man Tag Team Clash

Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta), Konosuke Takeshita, and Shota Umino vs. The Elite ("Hangman" Adam Page, Nick Jackson, and Matt Jackson), Eddie Kingston, and Tomohiro Ishii

Page and Umino began the match. Umino landed a cheap shot on Page in the corner. Page connected with a big boot. Ishii was tagged in. Umino tagged in Takeshita. Ishii and Takeshita exchanged strikes in the center of the ring. 

Moxley and Kingston eventually became the legal wrestlers. Moxley struck Kingston in the face. Kingston replied with a chop to the chest. Kingston and Moxley traded chops. The bout then broke down with every wrestler in the match entering the ring. 

The Young Bucks and Page dived to the floor while Moxley and Kingston continued to collide in the middle of the ring. Castagnoli tagged into the match. The BCC, Takeshita, and Umino kept Kingston in their corner. Takeshita wiped Ishii out with a huge punch to the face.

Umino continued to work over Kingston as the legal wrestler. Moxley tagged in and stood in Kingston's way as he attempted to tag in one of The Young Bucks. Moxley and Kingston traded chops again. 

Ishii and Castagnoli collided in the center of the ring. Umino and Takeshita worked together to take out Ishii. Page and Takeshita became the legal men. Page landed a shooting star press from the apron as The Young Bucks held Takeshita. Page attempted a pin back inside the ring. 

Matt Jackson became the legal wrestler. Takeshita delivered a double suplex to The Young Bucks. The Bucks then delivered several superkicks. Kingston became conflicted. Takeshita attempted a pin after landing a Blue Thunder Bomb on Matt Jackson. 

Castagnoli delivered a giant swing to Matt Jackson in the middle of the ring. Yuta connected with a dropkick during the swing and went for a cover. Ishii tagged in and fought with Yuta. Ishii attempted a pin after delivering a superplex. 

The match broke down again with each wrestler in the bout landing a move. Ishii connected with a clothesline on Yuta and followed up with a brainbuster to pick up the victory for his team.

AEW Women's World Championship Match

Toni Storm (c) w/ Saraya and Ruby Soho vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women's World Championship

Nightingale got the better of the champion in the opening moments of the match. Storm exited the ring and took a moment. Nightingale continued to dominate as Storm returned to the ring. Nightingale sent Storm out of the ring with a dropkick. Nightingale attacked Saraya and Soho at ringside.

Storm connected with a hip attack as Nightingale attempted to return to the ring. Saraya and Soho attacked Nightingale on the floor. Storm sent Nightingale back into the ring. 

Storm landed a snap suplex and attempted a pin. Nightingale eventually fought back and slammed Storm into the canvas. Nightingale sent Storm down with a kick. 

Storm responded by pulling Nightingale down onto the top rope while she was on the apron. Nightingale responded with a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Nightingale connected with a second Death Valley Driver inside the ring and went for a cover. 

The referee sent Saraya and Soho to the back. Nightingale attempted a pin. Nightingale missed a moonsault from the turnbuckles. Storm took advantage and connected with a DDT and hip attack. Nightingale kicked out of the cover that followed Storm's moves. Storm appeared to be busted open.

Nightingale slammed Storm into the mat and locked in a submission. Storm managed to escape. Nightingale connected with a pounce as Storm went for a hip attack. Storm pulled the referee in front of her in the corner to avoid Nightingale's offense. Storm gouged Nightingale's eyes while the referee moved out of the way. Storm then delivered Storm Zero to retain the title.

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Clash

Kenny Omega (c) vs. Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship

Both men locked up as the match got underway. Ospreay and Omega traded holds. Omega managed to plant Ospreay into the canvas while in a submission hold on the mat. Ospreay and Omega then countered each other's moves.

Ospreay delivered a thumb to the eye and took advantage. Omega fought back and delivered a flurry of moves. Callis stopped Omega in his tracks by grabbing his leg when he hit the ropes. The referee ejected Callis from ringside. Ospreay leaped over the ropes and took out Omega on the floor. Ospreay then sent Omega into the steel steps and ring post. 

Ospreay landed a backbreaker back inside the ring. Omega kicked out of Ospreay's cover. Ospreay delivered a vertical suplex and attempted another pin. 

Omega connected with a series of moves and attempted a cover. Omega delivered several chops to Ospreay's chest. Ospreay responded with a kick. Ospreay draped Omega over the top rope and landed a shooting star press. Ospreay then delivered an Oscutter on the apron.

Ospreay repeatedly slammed Omega's head into the announce table. Ospreay took off the Forbidden Door cover that was placed on top of the commentary table and sent Omega through it. Omega was busted open. Ospreay licked Omega's blood that was on his arm. 

Omega briefly fought back in the center of the ring. Ospreay struck Omega with a spinning elbow. Ospreay then connected with a knee strike. Ospreay grabbed a Canadian flag at ringside and disrespected it. 

Omega connected with a big lariat. Omega used the Canadian flag around Ospreay's neck. Omega delivered a knee strike at ringside. Omega slammed Ospreay's head into the steel steps. Ospreay began to bleed from his forehead. Omega then landed a DDT on top of the steep steps. 

Omega continued to punish Ospreay back inside the ring. Ospreay managed to lift Omega and deliver a powerbomb. Omega and Ospreay went back and forth. Ospreay attempted a pin after landing a Spanish Fly. Ospreay locked Omega in a sharpshooter. The challenger then turned the hold into a crossface. 

Ospreay delivered a series of chops to Omega's chest. Omega replied with his own strikes. Ospreay headbutted Omega. Omega managed to counter an Oscutter with a knee strike. Omega delivered a flurry of moves. Omega attempted a pin after spiking Ospreay with a piledriver.

Ospreay connected with a superkick while Omega was on the turnbuckles. Ospreay dived from the corner of the ring to the floor. Both wrestlers went back and forth back inside the ring. Omega got his shoulder up following an Oscutter. Omega then planted Ospreay's head into the mat. 

Callis returned to the ringside area. Omega delivered three big kicks to Ospreay's face. Callis got onto the apron to protect Ospreay. Omega connected with the V Trigger. Callis passed Ospreay a screwdriver while the referee was dealing with him. Ospreay used the screwdriver while he was on Omega's shoulders. Omega got his foot on the ropes after Ospreay delivered a series of finishing moves. 

Ospreay elevated Omega on his shoulders and drove him into the mat. Omega kicked out of a pin attempt. Omega and Ospreay continued to go back and forth. Ospreay won the title after planting Omega into the canvas with a Stormbreaker.

Six-Man Tag Team Action

Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Minoru Suzuki vs. Sting, Darby Allin, and Tetsuya Naito

Naito and Guevara began the match. Guevara landed a dropkick and did Naito's trademark pose. Naito hit a flurry of moves moments later. Allin and Suzuki tagged in. Suzuki struck Allin in the face with a big forearm.

Sting tagged in. Suzuki debated whether he wanted to face him. Suzuki ended up tagging in Jericho. The match broke down with every wrestler entering the ring. Jericho and Sting went back and forth. Sting locked Jericho in a submission. Guevara eventually made the save with a cutter from the top. 

Allin and Guevara collided after tagging into the match. Guevara delivered a Spanish Fly from the top and attempted a pin. Naito and Jericho were tagged in. Allin leaped through the ropes and took out Suzuki. Jericho caught Allin with a Judas Effect when he attempted a second dive to the floor. 

Jericho pulled out a table from underneath the ring. Guevara dived from the turnbuckles and sent Sting crashing through the table at ringside. Sting returned to the ring and put Jericho in the Scorpion Death Lock. Suzuki entered and put Sting in a sleeper hold. Jericho landed a Codebreaker on Naito and attempted a pin.

Suzuki and Naito fought. Sting knocked Suzuki down. Naito picked up the win for his team by pinning Suzuki.

Main Event

Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada

Danielson and Okada traded holds as the bout got underway. Danielson gained the early advantage. Okada responded by sending Danielson down with a shoulder tackle. Okada sent Danielson to the floor with a low dropkick. Okada kicked Danielson over the barricade.

Danielson sent Okada into the ring post. Danielson dropkicked Okada through the ropes and followed it up with a diving knee strike from the apron. Danielson sent Okada back into the ring. "The American Dragon" continued to punish Okada. 

Okada eventually fought back and landed a flurry of moves. Okada went for a cover after planting Danielson with a DDT.  Okada connected with a dropkick while Danielson was seated on the top turnbuckle. Okada delivered a crossbody to Danielson over the barricade. 

Okada took control as the action returned to the ring. Okada landed a neckbreaker and attempted a pin. Danielson connected with a missile dropkick moments later. 

Danielson and Okada traded blows. Okada sent Danielson down with a dropkick. Danielson replied with a German suplex. Okada connected with another dropkick after Danielson landed two running kicks in the corner.

Danielson caught Okada in a submission hold after he leaped from the top turnbuckle. Danielson leaped to the floor and delivered a series of moves. Okada responded with a piledriver on the entrance ramp. 

Back inside the ring, Okada connected with an elbow drop from the top. A doctor entered the ring as Danielson struggled. Moments later, Danielson hit the ropes and connected with a knee strike. Danielson connected with a second knee strike and attempted a cover.  

Okada caught Danielson with a dropkick. Okada followed it up with a Rainmaker and went for a pin. Okada looked to wear Danielson down even more. However, Danielson managed to pick up the win after forcing Okada to tap out.

Winner: Bryan Danielson via submission
