Anarchy In The Arena Spots Reportedly Nixed By Venue After Last AEW Double Or Nothing

This past Sunday night's AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view saw the Blackpool Combat Club's Wheeler Yuta, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and reigning ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli defeat The Elite's Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, and "Hangman" Adam Page in an Anarchy in the Arena match. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the T-Mobile Arena — the venue that hosted Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, Nevada — issued limitations for the match and "shot down" various spots as a result of things that occurred in last year's Anarchy clash.

The report noted that the participants in this year's Anarchy in the Arena, as well as AEW's production team, had little preparation time compared to last year's encounter, with the Las Vegas Golden Knights competing in an ice hockey playoff match the night before Double or Nothing. It's said the wrestlers involved in 2022's Anarchy match entered the venue the night before the pay-per-view and had a look around to plan spots. However, this year, it was not possible. Despite the limited time to get ready for the brawl, several performers in this year's bout were said to be excited about how the match played out and how it was a team effort to put it together.

The ending of this year's Anarchy in the Arena match came when Konosuke Takeshita — who came out disguised in a black sweater and a mask — attacked Omega, which allowed Wheeler to pick up the win for his team. Don Callis choked Omega post-match while the Blackpool Combat Club celebrated their victory. The clash saw various wild moments, including Matt Jackson delivering an exploding superkick to Moxley in the center of the ring.
