Cora Jade Advances To WWE NXT Women's Championship Semi-Finals

During Tuesday's night episode of "WWE NXT," Cora Jade advanced to the semifinals of the "NXT" Women's Championship Tournament. Jade defeated Fallon Henley to advance.

The tournament for the "NXT" Women's Title was announced after Indi Hartwell relinquished the title after she moved to the main roster during the WWE 2023 draft.  Next week Jade will now be facing Lyra Valkyria in the semi-finals, while former "NXT" Women's Champion Roxanne Perez will face Tiffany Stratton. Perez had also advanced in the tournament during tonight's episode after she defeated Jacy Jayne to move on.

Jade has yet held the "NXT" Women's Title, but she's a former "NXT" Women's Tag Team Champion. The last time she competed in a televised match for the "NXT" Women's Championship was in April 2022 at Stand & Deliver, when former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose retained the title against her, Io Shirai (now IYO SKY), and Alba Fyre.

The final of the tournament will be taking place at the next "NXT" premium live event, Battleground on May 28. Another title match at Battleground will see Carmelo Hayes defending the "NXT" Championship against the person he won the title from just a little over a month ago at "NXT" Stand & Deliver: Bron Breakker. Also, Wes Lee will be defending his "NXT" North American Title in a Triple Threat match against Tyler Bate and Schism leader Joe Gacy. Also, Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar will be putting up his title on the line against Dragon Lee. Battleground will be taking place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
