Sami Zayn Said His Part In WWE's Bloodline Story Is 'More Or Less' Over (But It's Not)

Following months of compelling storytelling and five-star matches, including an incredible Wrestlemania moment and the recent six-man tag match at Backlash with Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle, Sami Zayn believed he was finally done with The Bloodline. During an interview with Inside the Ropes, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion said he's moving on from his epic tale featuring Roman Reigns, the Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. The former "Honorary Uce" was discussing memorable moments throughout his career and which ones would be remembered for years to come. While he knows that he can't really control what makes it into the history books, he did emphasize how fun it was to be a part of this ongoing storyline that has dominated WWE programming since 2020.

"It would be very hard to recreate," he said. "I'm done, more or less, and I'm glad I got to do it. There's not much more to say than that other than I hope everybody enjoyed it and remembers it fondly."

Zayn and Owens were drafted to "Raw" earlier this month, while The Bloodline remained on "Smackdown," seemingly separating the two sides for the time being. However, there was an unexpected development on Friday's "SmackDown." It turns out Zayn and Owens are not down with The Bloodline just yet. Paul Heyman revealed that Reigns and Sikoa will get a shot at the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions at the upcoming Night of Champions event. On top of that, WWE is promoting a face-to-face confrontation between the two teams for next Friday's "SmackDown."
