AEW Star And Fozzy Frontman Chris Jericho Files To Trademark 'Fozzyfest' & 'Fozzfest'

Former AEW World Champion and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho has filed two trademarks for a potential music festival. Jericho, real name Chris Irvine, filed two separate trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on Monday for "Fozzyfest" and "Fozzfest."

Jericho, an eight-time world champion

, has fronted the heavy metal band Fozzy since 1999. The wrestler's side hustle has become heavily folded into his in-ring character over the years, taking on an over-the-top rockstar persona and using his own band's song "Judas" as his entrance theme in AEW. Now that he's won eight world titles and helped jumpstart AEW in recent years, it appears Jericho might be getting ready to breathe new life into his band Fozzy with some sort of music festival.

The AEW star already has experience spearheading unique annual events. In 2018, Jericho started his annual Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea, which combines pro wrestling and live music on a multi-day cruise. Fozzy often performs on the cruise each year, as the band's fanbase has found a significant crossover with those who are also fans of Jericho's in-ring career.

Fozzy saw a spike in popularity after Jericho began using "Judas" as his entrance music, ultimately landing a gold record for the band last year. "For 22 years I've heard all the cutdowns & insults about @FOZZYROCK,"Jericho tweeted in celebration. "Well now, WE can all stand behind what our band and hundreds of thousands of our fans worldwide have always known... FOZZY ROCKS!"
