Return Of Trish Stratus Promoted For Tonight's WWE Raw

With the 2023 WWE Draft complete, new rosters have been set in stone and have taken effect, which means that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will return to the red brand.

WWE announced that Stratus will be on hand in at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida for the first "Raw" with the new rosters. Stratus returned to the company alongside friend and rival Lita to aid Becky Lynch against Damage CTRL, only for Stratus to betray Lynch and Lita, even attacking her fellow WWE Hall of Famer, setting her own villainous path in recent weeks. Stratus said that she returned to WWE because she is always trying to "prove" herself to her own harshest critic, herself, opting to not come back for any kind of victory lap but instead, a story that will challenge herself and her fans, which her recent heel turn has clearly provided.

"Will the fans be intrigued by it?" she asked in a recent interview. "Will it tell something different than we've told before, a story that's different than we've told before?"

Stratus's current rival Becky Lynch has been off TV for some time now, after a post-match attack from Stratus following the duo losing the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. There are reportedly "missing" posters being drafted for the former "WWE Raw" Women's Champion, who was also drafted to "Raw" as part of the WWE Draft. Outside of the storyline, Lynch has reportedly been dealing with an undisclosed foot injury. There had initially been speculation that her absence could have to do with her contract, but it reportedly doesn't expire until 2024.
