In Progress Wrestling's statement, they noted that it was after a "comprehensive investigation" and board feedback, that Ospreay and Robinson were welcomed back to the promotions.

As a tag team, Ospreay and Robinson were known as the Swords of Essex. Their last match in Progress Wrestling was in March 2019, where they lost their Progress Tag Team Titles against Aussie Open's Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis. It's interesting to note that Aussie Open is currently in Ospreay's stable, the United Empire.

Ospreay took to Twitter and reacted to the return of the Swords of Essex.

"After all the years we've been away, I'm so happy I can put aside any of the issues with PROGRESS & thanks to Lee, Martyn, Jay & all the Roster & Staff for their support in bringing us back. I cannot wait for myself & Paul Robinson to return to TNT & PROGRESS

Thank you so much," tweeted Ospreay.

Robinson also took to social media to react to the news.

"Live By The Sword," wrote Robinson. "Thank you Progress & TNT."

In the past, Swords Of Essex have held several tag team titles besides the Progress titles — the RevPro British Tag Team Championship, IPW: UK British Tag Team Championship, WCPW Tag Team Championship, and the British Triangle Championship.

As noted, on May 21 at NJPW Resurgence, Ospreay is set to face Hiroshi Tanahashi in a semi-finals match to determine the #1 Contender for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. The winner will go on to face Lance Archer at Dominion.
