Senor Benjamin, Reby Hardy Among Cameos During The Firm Deletion On AEW Rampage
For months, Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy had been trapped in a contract dispute with The Firm. But on Friday night's "AEW Rampage" during The Firm Deletion Match, Hardy got help from just about everyone at the compound en route to pinning Ethan Page, who was distracted by Reby Hardy (formerly TNA's Reby Sky) and "Gothic Baby." And by the end of the night, they made every single one of those distractions count.
After some brawling on the front lawn of the Hardy Compound, the cinematic match took a turn indoors, where Señor Benjamin appeared behind Stokely Hathaway and tased him. It didn't stop there for Hathaway, however, as Reby hit him with a Twist of Fate back in the ring before Maxel Hardy delivered a Swanton Bomb from the middle turnbuckle.
Eventually, Page found himself back inside the ring and beat down Hardy. Unfortunately for him, he was soon surrounded by all three of HOOK, Kassidy, and Jeff Hardy. And following a signature suplex from HOOK, Kassidy sent Page back Matt's way, signaling the beginning of the end. Matt declared "Under different circumstances, we could've been great friends!" before deleting him with a Twist of Fate of his own. Though before collecting the pinfall victory himself, Jeff put an exclamation point on proceedings by delivering a Swanton Bomb as well.
Yet the fun, as it were, didn't end only with what fans saw on "Rampage." Following the match, Matt tweeted, "HUGE NEWS! Due to TV time constraints, The #FirmDELETION had to be trimmed down. You can see the complete, unedited 21 min version NOW!"
