WWE Employees' Return To HQ Reportedly Pushed Back A Week
With the official end of the government's COVID-19 National Emergency protections, many people are returning to the office after years of working from home, but that process will take just a little bit longer in Stamford, CT.
PWInsider Elite is reporting that WWE's original plan to have employees back at WWE Headquarters by May 3 has hit a snag, and now the mandatory return to the office has been pushed back to Monday, May 9. The news comes as WWE is in the process of moving from their "Titan Towers" headquarters to their new HQ at 707 Washington Blvd, also in Stamford, which they will share with Tobacco giant Phillip Morris, as well as KPMG. The new headquarters will feature their production offices in the same building, occupying an old UBS trading floor, as opposed to the old HQ, which had production just down the road in a separate building. As it stands WWE has no plans to sell Titan Towers, but is open to an offer on the longtime HQ.
Not only is WWE currently moving from its old headquarters to its new headquarters, but the company is also in the early stages of a merger with UFC, after UFC's parent company Endeavor struck a deal with WWE which will see Endeavor take majority control of the WWE board, marking the first time in WWE history that the McMahon family won't have majority control of the company. Endeavor CEO Ari Emmanuel tapped the formerly-retired Vince McMahon to run WWE, which will operate as its own company despite the merger, with WWE maintaining its Stamford headquarters, while UFC will continue to operate from their headquarters in Las Vegas, NV.
