WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther Announces Marriage To Former NXT UK Star Jinny
Inside the ring, GUNTHER is currently the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of the 21st century. Things appear to be going just as well for the "Ring General" outside of it as the champion took to Twitter Monday morning to share a photo of him with his wife, former "WWE NXT UK" star Jinny, smiling ear to ear following their London wedding over the weekend. GUNTHER himself also took to his Instagram story to share multiple clips of the newlyweds dancing. The two met each other during their respective time on the independent circuit.

Unfortunately, only one of them are currently active inside the ring. That's because back in January, the former two-time Progress Women's Champion who last competed on November 18, 2021 during an "NXT UK" event, announced her retirement from professional wrestling following a lengthy injury layoff. Prior to being signed by WWE, Jinny also appeared for other independent promotions such as Pro Wrestling Chaos, Pro Wrestling EVE, and Revolution Pro Wrestling, winning multiple championships along the way.
GUNTHER, meanwhile, was recently drafted to "WWE Raw" alongside Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium. Since making his main roster debut last April during "WWE SmackDown," he's gone on to become a dominant force, defeating the likes of Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus on multiple occasions, and Drew McIntyre. On night two of WrestleMania 39, he successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship in a hard-hitting, critically acclaimed Triple Threat Match against Sheamus and McIntyre and most recently, retained his title on the April 21 edition of "SmackDown" by making Xavier Woods pass out.
