Knockouts Championship Rematch Set For Impact Under Siege

Following her successful Impact Knockouts World Championship defense against Taylor Wilde during the April 27 episode of "Impact on AXS TV," current champion Deonna Purrazzo got some help from an old foe in the show's closing moments. That foe also happened to be her Rebellion opponent two weeks back, Jordynne Grace. Now it's been made official that at Under Siege on Friday, May 26, Purrazzo will put her championship on the line in a rematch against Grace with one stipulation.

If Grace is unable to win that evening, she'll be unable to challenge for the Knockouts Championship so long as Purrazzo holds it.

Purrazzo began her third reign as Knockouts Champion with her win at Rebellion in what was originally supposed to be a three-way match between her, Grace, and former champion Mickie James. The stipulation at the time was that if James were to lose, she'd have to retire. Unfortunately, an injury kept her from competing and it became a singles match to determine a new champion.

Following their match at Rebellion, Purrazzo offered to shake Grace's hand and they proceeded to embrace. History repeated itself on Thursday night when Deonna offered yet another handshake after Grace made a save. We'll have to wait and see whether or not that level of sportsmanship makes the trip to London, Ontario, Canada when Under Siege is held on May 26. While they haven't frequently had singles matches against one another over the years, Purrazzo and Grace are very familiar with one another, having battled over the Knockouts Championship and Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions.
