GCW Ransom 2023 Results (3/5): Three Title Matches, Allie Katch Vs. Charles Mason Steel Cage Match, More

Allie Katch will look to finally get the better of Charles Mason when the two rivals collide in a steel cage match at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The pair have been feuding for several months, and Mason has already picked up two victories against Katch. The BUSSY member now hopes the four sides of steel will keep Mason's mercenaries out as she seeks her first win over the sinister wrestler. Additionally, the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) will make their GCW debut and challenge Los Mazisos' Ciclope and Miedo Extremo for the GCW Tag Team Championship. Also, 2023 Do or Die Rumble winner Masha Slamovich will be in action against John Wayne Murdoch ahead of her GCW World Championship bout with Nick Gage later this month.

Scramble Match

Jimmy Lloyd vs. Yoya vs. Gabriel Skye vs. Carlos Romo vs. Alec Price vs. Gringo Loco in scramble match

Each wrestler missed a move as the match got underway. Skye sent Lloyd out of the ring with a dropkick. Price sent Skye to the floor. Loco and Price fought. Romo took Loco and Yoya down. Romo dived through ropes to wipe out multiple participants. Skye landed a moonsault from the apron.

Skye and Loco exchanged chops in the center of the ring. Loco connected with a splash from the top. Yoya delivered headscissors to Loco from the top turnbuckle. Price went after Yoya and sent him to the floor. Loco performed a Spanish Fly from the top. Romo landed a cutter to Lloyd. Romo pulled out a poinsonrana from the top turnbuckle to take Loco down. Price landed a surprise kick to Skye's head to win. 

Winner: Alec Price via pinfall

Drew Parker Unable To Perform

Shane Mercer vs. Mike Bailey

It was revealed that Drew Parker was not cleared to perform following his deathmatch with John Wayne Murdoch last night at Holy Smokes 2023. Shane Mercer took his place. Mercer attempted to take Bailey down on the mat. Both men reached a stalemate in the opening moments of the bout. Bailey put Mercer in a wristlock. Mercer reversed it. Mercer was relentless with his wristlock.

Bailey and Mercer exchanged forearms. Bailey sent Mercer into the corner with a dropkick. Mercer sent Bailey out of the ring with a dropkick. Mercer lifted Bailey and walked around the ringside area. Bailey was dropped onto the ring apron. Bailey targeted Mercer's left leg upon returning to the ring. 

Mercer and Bailey exchanged strikes. Mercer launched Bailey across the ring. Bailey was muscled to the canvas by Mercer. Bailey hit a flurry of kicks. Mercer flipped Bailey onto the mat. Both wrestlers traded forearms again. Bailey kicked at Mercer's left leg. Bailey connected with a springboard moonsault to wipe out Mercer on the floor. 

Bailey connected with double knees after Mercer got tangled up in the corner of the ring. Mercer sent Bailey crashing down with a powerbomb and followed up with a lariat. Mercer delivered moonsault and battery from the top. Bailey kicked out of the cover that followed. Bailey hit a flurry of moves. Bailey landed Ultima Weapon to secure the victory.

GCW Tag Team Championship Match

Los Mazisos (Ciclope and Miedo Extremo) (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) for the GCW Tag Team Championship

The match immediately headed to the floor. The action was taken around the venue. Shelley and Sabin landed clotheslines in opposite corners of the ring. Sabin and Extremo fought. Los Mazisos worked together to take Sabin down. Shelley entered and battled Ciclope. The Motor City Machine Guns teamed up to wear down the champions.

Both teams traded forearms in the center of the ring. Shelley and Sabin delivered double superkicks. The Motor City Machine Guns were sent to the floor. Extremo flew through the ropes to wipe out the challengers. Extremo pulled out a door from underneath the ring. Shelley and Sabin worked over Ciclope in the ring. Ciclope was sent through the door in the corner. The challengers drove Ciclope into the canvas to win the gold.

Deathmatch Action

Masha Slamovich vs. John Wayne Murdoch

Slamovich took Murdoch down with a spinning kick. Slamovich smashed several tubes and hammered a bullet into Murdoch's head. Murdoch avoided a missile dropkick. Murdoch smashed a bundle of tubes on Slamovich's back. Murdoch launched tubes at Slamovich on the floor. Slamovich responded by tossing her own bundle of tubes at Murdoch.

Slamovich sent Murdoch into a pane of glass in the corner of the ring. Slamovich hit a combination of moves. Murdoch was taken out by Slamovich on the floor. Back inside the ring, Murdoch delivered a brainbuster. Slamovich picked up the win after Murdoch landed awkwardly on two chairs that had a pane of glass placed on top.

Winner: Masha Slamovich via pinfall

Trios Tag Team Battle

Rina Yamashita, Maki Itoh, and Veny vs. Sawyer Wreck, Billie Starkz, and Janai Kai

Yamashita and Starkz began the match as the legal performers. Yamashita sent Starkz down with a shoulder tackle. Starkz registered a near-fall. Veny and Kai were tagged in. Wreck and Itoh were tagged in next. Itoh got on Veny's shoulders. Wreck got on the shoulders of Starkz. Itoh and Wreck exchanged forearms. Itoh sent Wreck down with a headbutt.

The action spilled to the floor. Wreck sent Veny into several rows of chairs. Yamashita, Itoh, and Veny taunted Wreck, Starkz, and Kai by dancing after halting their dive to the outside. Wreck, Starkz, and Kai traded tags as they kept Itoh away from her corner. Itoh eventually fired up and tagged in Veny. 

Veny took Wreck off her feet with headscissors. Wreck responded with a forearm. Starkz and Veny went back and forth. Veny and Starkz dived to the floor at the same time. Yamashita and Starkz exchanged strikes. Kai was tagged in and battled Yamashita. Each wrestler pulled out a move as the pace of the match picked up. Yamashita scored the pin for her team after elevating Kai and delivering a powerbomb.

JCW Championship Match

Jordan Oliver (c) vs. Blake Christian for the JCW Championship

Christian immediately went after Oliver. Oliver sent Christian to the floor with a big dropkick. Moments after returning to the ring, Christian connected with a springboard crossbody. Oliver and Christian traded chops in the center of the ring. Christian landed a springboard moonsault.

Christian leaped over the ropes to take out the champion on the floor. Back inside the ring, Christian and Oliver went back and forth. Oliver launched Christian out of the corner. Oliver delivered the Acid Bomb. Christian kicked out of the pin attempt. Christian blocked the Clout Cutter. The challenger connected with a low blow while the referee's back was turned. Christian pulled out a steel chair and got himself disqualified. 

Winner and STILL JCW Champion: Jordan Oliver via disqualification

- After the match, Christian draped Oliver on the steel chair, ready to knee him in the head. Akira appeared to distract Christian. Masha Slamovich took out Christian with a chokehold. GCW World Champion Nick Gage made his entrance. Gage asked where his gang was at. Gage said he would beat Slamovich in front of her family when they collided for the GCW title later this month. Slamovich said it isn't MDK anymore. She claims it is now Masha Death Kill. Slamovich proposed they fight now. Gage and Slamovich attempted to brawl. GCW security came out to separate them.

GCW Extreme Championship Bout

Joey Janela (c) vs. Brandon Kirk for the GCW Extreme Championship

Janela attempted to shoulder tackle Kirk. "The Bad Boy" landed a hip toss. Kirk replied with his own hip toss. Janela and Kirk countered each other's moves. The champion sent a wooden door into the ring and set it up in the corner. Janela and Kirk tried to break the seemingly unbreakable door. Janela and Kirk linked together and put themselves through the door. Janela and Kirk used broken pieces of the door as weapons.

Janela introduced a steel chair to the match. The champion utilized the chair to take out Kirk. The action spilled out to the floor. Janela grabbed a shopping cart and put Kirk in it. Janela sent the cart into the ring post. 

"The Bad Boy" sent various weapons into the ring, including another door. The champion set up a door bridge. Janela put Kirk through the door with a superplex from the top. Kirk sent Janela through multiple chairs with a Psycho Driver, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory. Janela sent Kirk through several chairs from the top to retain the title.

Four-Way Tag Team Action

Young Dumb & Broke (Charlie Tiger and Ellis Taylor) vs. Bang Bros (Davey Bang and August Matthews) vs. Wasted Youth (Marcus Mathers and Dyln McKay) vs. Second Gear Crew (1 Called Manders and Mance Warner)

The match immediately broke down. Second Gear Crew introduced steel chairs to the match and used them as weapons. Warner brought a couple of wooden doors to the ring. Manders set up a smaller door in the corner. Taylor was put through the smaller door. Bang Bros sent Warner and Manders through a wooden door in the opposite corner. 

Bang leaped to the outside to wipe out several performers in the match. Moments later, McKay took out several wrestlers on the floor with a twisted dive from the top turnbuckle. Tiger and Taylor took control of the bout inside the ring. Bang Bros took out Young Dumb & Broke. Wasted Youth targeted Bang Bros. Matthews and Mathers went back and forth. Both wrestlers soared over the ropes on opposite sides of the ring.

Second Gear Crew returned and took Bang Bros off their feet. Tiger and Taylor delivered repeated superkicks to Warner. Warner was put through a chair in the corner of the ring. A flurry of high-risk moves followed. Warner landed a series of strikes on McKay. Manders sent McKay through a wooden door. Multiple wrestlers from the IWS promotion interfered and attacked Second Gear Crew. Mike Bailey and Jordan Oliver appeared to stand up for the GCW locker room. 

Winners: No contest

- Mike Bailey sided with the IWS promotion after the match was waved off. GCW World Champion Nick Gage appeared and brought out the GCW locker room to chase off the IWS wrestlers. GCW and IWS collide in Montreal next weekend. 

- A brief intermission occurs while the steel cage is set up for the main event. 

Steel Cage Main Event

Allie Katch w/ EFFY vs. Charles Mason w/ Parrow in a steel cage match

Katch and Mason can win via pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage. Katch spat in Mason's face and began her attack. Katch connected with a DDT. The BUSSY member delivered a flurry of punches in the corner. Mason sent Katch into the steel with a running powerbomb to turn the match around. Mason busted Katch's forehead open. "The Root of All Evil" continued his assault. Mason swung Katch into the steel. Mason landed a rolling Death Valley driver.

Katch fought back with shots to the midsection. Mason bit Katch and sent her into the corner with a dropkick. Katch responded by driving Mason into the canvas. Katch connected with a hip attack and a cannonball. Mason spat in Katch's face. Mason laughed. Katch repeatedly sent Mason into the steel. Mason began to bleed from his forehead. 

Mason delivered another rolling Death Valley driver. Katch kicked out of the pin attempt that followed. Parrow gave Mason two pairs of handcuffs. Katch connected with a low blow. Katch handcuffed Mason to the steel cage. Katch pulled out a knife from her knee pad. Mason managed to kick the knife out of Katch's hand. Parrow cut the cuffs to free Mason. 

Parrow attempted to climb the cage. EFFY attacked Parrow with a steel chair. Katch spiked Mason with a piledriver. Mason got his shoulder up during the pin attempt. Katch started to climb the cage. Mason got back to his feet and joined Katch. Mason bit Katch's forehead and drove her into the cage. Mason connected with an elbow drop. Mason sent Katch into the steel again. Mason climbed the cage. Katch delivered a superplex from the top of the cage.

Billy Dixon appeared. Dixon grabbed a key from the referee to open the cage door. He opened it and encouraged Katch to exit. Dixon closed the cage door and walked off as Mason stared at him. Katch and Mason went back and forth. Mason locked Katch in a chokehold. Mason delivered a Tombstone after Katch escaped the submission. Mason pulled Katch's shoulder up during his pin attempt. Mason picked up the knife. Mason passed out after Katch locked in a sleeper. 

Winner: Allie Katch via submission
